They aren’t under the governors jurisdiction so the lawsuit isn’t covering them. Marines have to be protecting federal property or personnel only to remain within the law. As long as they do, there isn’t much Newsom can do.

He probably doesn’t have standing to sue over federal troops protecting federal property and personnel as long as they don’t expand into city or state jurisdiction.

Yeah and growing up my Dad would stay up late then as well… When I don’t have to get up I can easily get into a late night habit too.

It CAN be but isn’t necessarily. It’s basically a symptom but not diagnosable as dementia just from that. I’ve known a lot of old people who don’t sleep well. My Dad is mid 70s and stays up until 2 and he definitely doesn’t have dementia. But he also sleeps in late so maybe not quite the same.

My dad is in his 70s and is up til 2. My MiL sends texts at 3am… when everyone is asleep… but they both sleep in late.

So he’s got 19 republicans on board to break a veto? He would also need 2/3 from the house… that seems unlikely at this point. Maybe in a few months…
