'Don’t Worry Baby, on which Wilson, incredibly, managed to alchemise a song about a hot rod race into a heartbreaking, impossibly beautiful meditation on insecurity, self-doubt and the redemptive power of love.' www.theguardian.com/music/2025/j...

McCartney and Springsteen photographed at LIPA today. A Macca appearance at Bruce’s Anfield gig tomorrow now looks certain.

Enjoyed watching an attritional day’s cricket between England Lions and India A at Northampton today. KL Rahul played a classy innings of 116 while Chris Woakes continued his comeback from injury with an excellent trademark, metronomic bowling effort. My report: www.cricketworld.com/woakes-shine...

What an outstanding performance from Ben Sanderson tonight, 6 wickets for just 8 runs in four overs including a hat-trick! I reckon that’s the third best T20 bowling return in Blast history. It saw Northamptonshire to victory over Worcestershire, their fourth win in four games.

What an extraordinary performance. Bobbie’s voice is incredible (naturally), but the way she reinterprets the song makes you experience every emotion and moment of the story.

Uncannily accurate. youtube.com/shorts/cFIEf...

@johnp69.bsky.social This popped up on my YouTube feed and made me think of you! I haven’t watched the whole video yet but I reckon you’d enjoy it: youtu.be/MrJSYKKO3D0?... How about a YouTube channel of your own with all your finds?

It’s going to take several plays to fully absorb the astonishing ‘caroline 2’, the bold follow-up to caroline’s outstanding debut album. With added Caroline Polachek.

Blistering Northamptonshire performance at Headingley this evening, posting a mammoth 237-4, their highest ever innings total in the Vitality Blast. Fifties for Broad and Willey after the openers set the tone. An impressive 17 sixes from the top five.

Huge congratulations to Sparks for scoring their highest-charting UK album with 'MAD!' which entered at number 2 today, their seventh top 40 LP to date. Each of Ron & Russell's previous three albums hit #7, while their previously highest entry was 1974’s 'Kimono My House' which hit #4 in 1974. (1/2)
