Thank you for the midnight giggle. I’m awake with cramps in my hamstrings and I really needed this!

The questions are bad and the answers are total bullshit. The many people I knew when I worked in DC and in Boston for the federal government were extremely concerned with wise use of resources, including money and staff time. This child has no idea or experience of the real world.

"WHEN ANDREW TATE WAS CHARGED WITH RAPE AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING, TRUMP INTERVENED TO FLY HIM BACK TO THE UNITED STATES.
WHEN A WORKING-CLASS FATHER OF A DISABLED
5-YEAR-OLD CHILD WAS WRONGFULLY DEPORTED, TRUMP REFUSED TO LIFT A FINGER."
LET THAT SINK IN.

Sorry for the duplication of comment 4. Main point: why do we pretend like nothing happened? Was there a big apology and description of the personal work he’d done and amends made? Did I just miss it somehow? And if there was no apology and no amends, how is anyone working with and promoting him?

4/ I benefitted so very much from participating in the study, and I appreciate all the people whose work has been important to the research. But I’m chagrined to see BvdK touted as a great man in ads for courses in various platforms, with no mention of his offenses and/or apology + reform.

3/ His door was at the end of the one hall of offices, and had his name and title on it in huge fancy gold letters. Pretty sure it was actual gold leaf. I looked closely at the door just out of curiosity, and I looked from the hallway at his desk with the piles of books and journals, some open.

2/ After a few, while getting ready for my session, I asked the person running it if he was ever there, and she looked down and said staff could not talk about it. As an abuse survivor, I recognized a very familiar energy shift and apologized for going off topic and we kept setting up.

“Only” having a GED is a function of opportunity, not intelligence - and even so, it’s a huge accomplishment! Congratulations on that, and thank you for being here and speaking up.
