They’re gonna be dead. That’s how this works. Same goes for you because you’ll be in even worse shape (and no you’re not, just obtuse and annoying)

Yeah I mean we’ve got 80% here the real thing is if this idiot actually ever experienced his life without a huge air conditioned truck or condo he’d probably die just from shock.

You folks always say this and get it wrong every time. They got no AC in these parts and it just doesn’t get this hot there. Get a grip. Don’t be this stupid.

At this point it’s not really the AI that we’re being marketed that everyone hates that we’ll be using (GenAI, employee, etc) because that’s stuff that just isn’t really going to work or exist in the way that we think.

Found it - says he was put on leave in 2023 and I guess that was it.

I’ve been trying to find info on it but can’t. Back when he started to get traction on Twitter I thought he was still teaching but I realize now he may had been fired by then already.

Man this may sound trite and annoying but truly the best thing to do is to just keep going and sharing about it more than you think is reasonable without any shame or misgivings or worrying whether or not you’re annoying your followers. It’s the only way.

Oh yeah. Aimee solo never lived up to it to me.
Welcome Home is her best song full-stop and any band should be stoked to have a song like that.

It’s interesting you’d pick that out since those sound like just riffs she yelled while tracking at the end for energy. I doubt those were even written (I don’t count them as such but different strokes)

Obviously, you’ve never actually dealt with a police officer.

Yup.
A lot of the dooming on here re: art in general is due to the sort of myth of democratization that access to distribution via online means/tech fabricated. It actually didn’t make reach better and generally made it harder for real work to reach its target. A bigger issue, I feel!

Working session drummer here, and I absolutely do not worry about the art enjoyer’s ability to discern and pick the real thing, it’s just all about getting through this weird legal/capital flow phase with all this crap. Can of worms but most of the doom I see is from non-working artists.

It’s amazing what a right-wing media magnate pal with $750,000 of iTunes gift cards and an army of cronies can accomplish!
Doesn’t equal an actual music career though, gratefully.

That’s very likely their safest legal bet from an IP standpoint

That won’t really change their economic outlook though really. Hell I’m a millennial and me and all my peers are fucked. Just riding it out!

Really, really loved this one and it’s the kind of biopic I wish got made more and got more attention.

The music stuff was good and still can be, but it got bought by Sumerian Records, a label owned by an anti-vaxx row weirdo recently and it’s really shown ever since.

I feel like a lot of the criticisms are the usual “it’s heavy handed these are caricatures” and I’m like “have you ever met any of these people?”

My grandparents said a bunch of stuff once the dementia from their severe emphysema kicked in as well. And now my mom.

Should be stated that I no longer eat cheeseburgers, or use almond milk, etc., and this is partially the reason why.

Listened to his work tape instead, went from that & everything was fine. Like, what are we doing here? What’s the point? Happy for the work and increasingly less worried after this - This shit sucks & can’t even tell major from minor.

And you can say what you want about folks who drag modern music but there just aren’t a lot of new, truly great career acts being developed and they especially aren’t what I would consider worth seeing live for the most part and the drive just isn’t there. Ancient headliners all around.

Joni likes the auto retuning stuff and also I think she just got one for free once which is often how this stuff goes.

Gwar is a gift to the world and the metal music community. I quote Oderus’ review of War Horse a lot. youtu.be/-zURqcGojzE?...

As a Nashvillian who’s had my daily life made impossibly annoying by this very thing, I cannot agree with you more.

Their top song on Tidal has him listed in the credits. Either way - there’s no such thing as an actually organic viral hit in that platform, ever. So, somebody with lots of money was involved from the get go and he makes sense.

Dr Luke’s involved so, yeah. Welp.
