The primary turned out more voters than 2021 and Mamdani got nearly 1.5x the share of votes that Adams got in the first round, I think it's decent proof people are hungry for something left of center

That’s quite a statement. Back it up with proof. Leave out misogyny and homophobia……I’m waiting. Back it up.

I think it depends on the district. This is better than banning queer education all together which was an option. I’ll take it during this time and with this court.

Then who? Got better options?

Take the time to make sure you want children, and whether or not you should even have them. All answers are correct so long as it’s honest.

Projection is a bitch. Some people who have parented children, assume I’m miserable because they are parents and miserable and that’s impossible. You aren’t all meant to be parents, forgive yourself and live your life.

The moral of the story is, stop telling the cool uncle it’s sad he wasn’t a father. Who is it sad for? Me? Nope. The child I would have resented? Nope. It’s sad for some because they are not fulfilled solely by being parent like they were told.

That’s what was meant for me. And I’m very much comfortable, happy and content with my life.

I’m that for the children of my friends, my nephews. I’m an amazing Guncle. I’m there when it’s important and always show up.

The world doesn’t need more children from parents who probably shouldn’t have had children, the children out there need role models who are stable and articulate.

I spiraled for like 2 days in my head. At the end of it all I realized, that the Craig I became after being molded by community, art, music, the NYC club scene of the 90’s, and most of all education, shouldn’t have children.

I am so sick of grown adults saying things to me like “ohh im sorry you’re childless at this age”. I didn’t know what to say to that. She literally used the word “childless”. I said to her, “I’m not sad, I’m fulfilled in other ways and completely satisfied in life”.

I’ve never thought about it deeply until recently. Lately I’ve experienced something that has had me do this work.
People who don’t know how to mind their own business.

I was the kid who dreamed of having a family who realized, for him, that dream wouldn’t have fulfilled him and that’s ok.
