College initially and then studying in London, I joined a very large protest against Bush’s state visit and the war

The motherfucker’s bombed the Olympics in Atlanta and it had no impact on the response to domestic right wing terrorism. Every time Democratic governments suggested focusing on domestic rightwing terrorism, they were screamed at for being anti-Christian and reversed course.

It’s legit funny that we’ve got like a third of the population obsessed about the purity of their food when the actual problem is they can’t walk past their mailboxes without running into serious structural issues and social stigma.

I honestly still judge myself every time I don’t do it thinking about that phrase 😅 but also we all are gonna stink in the class eventually no 🤷‍♀️? I guess I’m the problem one 😂

I really feel this! I dated a guy who would shower even before runs because “you can’t put new stink on old stink” and I mean, by far the best smelling man I ever dated. But it was a LOT

Zenith is great today because it fostered a cosmopolitan, industrialized workforce that included immigrants, whose families arrived during a time of free migration. They innovated a business structure that shaped many of the brands you sell. Many adopted their manufacturing model

Even after becoming a naturalized Swiss citizen, Patek continued to support Polish refugees. He funded mutual aid orgs, built a library, and brought in more Polish emigres after a failed 1863 uprising against Russia. For his support of emigres, Pope Pius IX bestowed Patek the title of count.

As a pedestrian I see even more, like people doing their make up while driving. I've seen drivers read books books! And cyclists are mostly a risk to themselves. Drivers are a risk to everyone.

TRUTH: No one’s forcing anyone to use a bike, or bus, or feet, for every trip. (Yes, I hear scenarios like the one below all the time. And I don’t debate whether they “actually could”) The point is that if others can choose different ways to get around, EVERYONE MOVES EASIER! #TheTRUTHaboutTRAFFIC

If you burn down a forest, you don't miss out on lumber for just that season. You have to replant all the trees, nurture them, and wait for them to grow. The science and research budget cuts happening now are wanton, senseless arson. Recovery, if it ever happens, will take generations.

And this before holding drivers accountable when they kill pedestrians and cyclists

What authorities could have said, but didn't: "The North Carolina Department of Transportation must be held accountable in these types of incidents and should ensure that children are able to walk to Food Lion without being hit and killed by drivers."

A 7 and 10 year old should be able to go out walking on their own without being hit by a car! Our society hates children and loves cars
