Ollie’s had my favorite conditioner for 2.99/bottle (Love, Beauty, & Planet’s Mandarin Kiss, usually $8.97) so the bad news is that it’s prob being discontinued. but the good news is that i got 9 bottles for the price of three, which should keep me going for a year, lol

kind of a nothing day, mostly b/c of the weather, but the volunteer strawberries are ripening one by one & they are tiny but exquisite and w/a valiant effort that was hysterical to watch, one baby groundhog twin climbed into the v tall pot full of basil & discovered that she does not like basil

TIL: filing 20 big bottles of H2O in preparation for one’s H2O being shut off all day is about 1/2 of what 3 ppl need also fun: as soon as the H2O was turned off, Miss Perpetually-Dehydrated-But-Never-Wants-To-Drink-Water over here was suddenly panicked & parched & immediately drank a whole bottle

when i taught school in Tampa, i used to be on the 1st plane to a city in the PNW as soon as school let out—just to grab some of the same kind of weather we’re getting now in pgh i used to marvel that it could be 50°F in late May/early June. W/cold rain! & i’m really appreciating the summer delay!

i shot this May 21, 2015 (10 yrs ago tomorrow!) right after i moved to the Bay Area & it’s still one of my favorite SF photos. i ended up moving 2 streets away from the Painted Ladies 2 years later (to the Fillmore district), but never quite caught the magic of this particular evening again

didn’t start my raised bed build yet but tmrw my stepdad & i are going to cut the wood + wood for the catio frame. i got $350 worth of lumber back when canada tariffs threatened to drop on March 1, & apparently i did a good job of estimating the lumber b/c we have everything! v excited for the catio
