The math is right. I turned 7 in the first grade, 8 in the second grade, and 9 in third grade. That means in the summer after third grade I was also 9 going into the 4th grade.

The legal system is failing us (US) again. Looks like it was all just talk when I heard them criticize the German judges who folded so quickly to Hitler's will. It turns out that many of the right wing judges in America would have fallen right in line when the Nuremberg Laws were adopted in 1935.
