Anyone else getting big “Nathan Therm” energy from Sec Bessent?

That’s a hard pass. As long as there are threats to our sovereignty; disdain for immigrants; disrespect for the rule of law; risks of arbitrary detention; and fascists in positions of power in your federal government, we aren’t going near the border.

Thanks for the “Unfollow” suggestion. Cheers

Whoa!! That’s out of line @TheGentYYC.bsky.social While travel to the US under the current regime is a non-starter & I too reject the invitation, Gov Pritzker is one of Trump’s harshest critics & one of the few American politicians standing up for democracy. He deserves respect, not name-calling. 😡

It was great - and went straight over Trump’s head😂

That reference to the Canadian electorate went straight over Trump’s head, yet he got the message. Well played Sir.

Agreed. And when he referred to the Canadian electorate as the “owners of Canada” it looks like that went right over Trump’s head 😂. Gentle humour, some deference with a sprinkling of flattery, and firm resolve on the important issues - got the job done brilliantly.

Because American journalism succumbed to apathy a long long time ago.

I say all those folks who worked so hard in Carleton hop on a plane and Fanjoy the hell out that byelection.

On the bright side, he won’t be practicing medicine. 🤷♀️

Moran’s failure to pause, push back, and provide a clear evidence-based rebuttal was professional malpractice. Shouldn’t walk into an interview like this without a clear, practiced plan on how to counteract the inevitable bs. “We can agree to disagree” @ABCNews, but I say that ain’t journalism.

Totally wish you were right about our MAGAs being dead, but like cockroaches, they are really hard to kill. The best we can reasonably hope for is that Fanjoy retains his lead and Poilievre is squashed like a bug, never to return to the national political stage. Please please please 🙏

Chantal Hebert is the GOAT. And it’s inconceivable that she would be given any airtime in America. Totally different here.

I watched the count in my riding where there were only 4 names on the ballot. It took 2 hours. This is a horrendously tough job for some very tired poll workers. Give them time…

Having hung in and watched all the ballots being counted I can admit that it wasn’t totally efficient (these poll workers has been on the job for 14 or 15 hours) but it was fair and accurate and totally transparent. Kudos to all at #ElectionsCanada

Worked alongside a progressive coalition for the Liberal campaign in the adjacent riding. We came oh so close to flipping the seat. But watching Bruce Fanjoy work so hard to defeat PP has been inspiring and has softened the blow. Congrats Bruce and Team Carney.

Bruce Fanjoy has worked tirelessly for 2 years to turn this riding Red. He so deserves this victory 🤞🏼

This Canucklehead 🇨🇦 is truly grateful for paper ballots and an incredibly efficient and fair electoral system.

Spending today as a Scrutineer in my rural riding and I am enthralled by the kindness, competence & enthusiasm of the volunteers of all stripes, the election officials and the voters. Democracy in action is a beautiful thing.

In my lifetime Canada has welcomed refugees from conflict zones all over the world. Never imagined the next wave would be lab coat clad neighbours from just across the border. 😢

One of the products is Gildan clothing (T-shirts mostly). A Canadian owned company already known for human rights abuses in Honduras 😥
