Those of us with some personal knowledge of him know how deep his self-centeredness runs. If some other would affect him, he’d be a nice little taco, but never mistake any of this for altruism or compassion. Or morality.

Wait, so do we like Greenland if we want to invade it? I might be suffering that historical malady, Taco Derangement SomethingSomething (I just can’t think of the word!). And “groceries are like a bag with different things in it. So old fashioned.” That’s my prezident, #Krasnov, the most covfefe.

Gee whiz! And, he’s got plans to take by force Greenland, Panama and any other place they think could further American interests. What’s not to like?

FWIW, I found Robert Hubbell’s piece helpful and informative on this. Maybe check out his Substack, “De-escalate. Redirect. Overwhelm.”

I find it interesting that the person who wrote the little bit of biased misinformation, @soniarao.bsky.social , has a "protected" X account, despite providing her NYT email, and no posts here. I hope the message gets to her that her distortion is not ok.

The problem is that when everything is a travesty, nothing is a travesty. When everything is an emergency, nothing is an emergency, and so on. It is great that you'll take this up, but so must the people, peacefully, and, as Robert Hubbell said: De-escalate. Redirect. Overwhelm.

Even if there is truth in the statements, one does not justify the other. It just does not work that way. It does not excuse Noem (not recognizing one of 2 senators of the state she is in?) nor the FBI.

There is no indication of there being any political will for that. Hegseth is still there, as is Patel, Bondi, Gabbard, RFK... all have violated some aspect or another of their oath, and have lied, and no one in the GOP cares. That is what I find terrifying. There is no moral compass left in the GOP

Is it ironic that they stand before what I gather is a marker for the treaty between the US and the Cherokee Nation (Treaty of the Holston)? Not a nation-to-nation treaty, despite propaganda, but one pushing Cherokee to sedentarize, farm, give u more land, etc. I see many parallels...

...and, while possibly a small detail, she has a BA in Political Science! Her claim that insinuates that she did not know who he was--because it is a challenge to recognize 1 of 2 senators from the state she is in--is pure deflection. She loved, as part of her cosplay, having him thrown out.

I’m surprised to see no mention here of sharing rare earth minerals with the US as other outlets have. In that context, it should then be highlighted that Indigenous communities have expressed reticence given the lack of consultation or participation.

This was predictable, which means it was avoidable, and the Regime and its upper minions chose to disregard the risk to public safety in order to fulfil their objective of intimidation.

Before reading your words, I was going to say the very same thing. I am someone who likely suffered a life-altering reaction to the one booster I had, but I am staunchly for vaccination, staunchly in support of the scientists who worked on creating the vaccines that saved so many of us.

I can't tell whether MAID is being explained as an option for potential recourse, including in the future or if it is in fact being "pushed" on him. That said, shouldn't his situation be judged on its particulars, and not because he is somehow representing other disabled people? I may not understand

There has been coverage in CBC, CTV, National Post, London media, etc. Here's this from 2018.
I live in Québec where, as your article shows, this would have been more easily resolved with respect to finding a solution that Mr. Foley would be comfortable with.

Agreed, but one makes it sound like a prelim agreement and the other as though they’re exploring if they even have enough components to consider exploring a potential agreement.

I don’t know if you will hit a paywall, but this article from a few hours ago makes it sound far from settled, making me wonder what was tabled. I’ll keep looking. www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/art...

I just noticed a similar list and wondered what it was about. I guess we can’t please all the people all of the time and/or they don’t actually want to discuss anything. 🤷🏻♀️

Even at the tensest of moments, I have never heard a Press Sec talk with such insolence. The fact is, she should give one of those apologies she too often suggests for others.
