Post-storm sunset experienced by a dog and their human. [I was lucky to capture this moment as they were on a hilltop and I ran back and found a location way behind the hill, far enough way to get both of them in focus along with the clouds despite the low light].

Four more patterns/mosaics I made with blades of grass.

The last bit of sunset light, refracted and reflected on the Saint Mary’s River by Neebish Island on the border between Ontario and Michigan.

Dancing is important! As people resonate online together in virtual space [nestled in the security of knowing how information is managed], it is delightful to sometimes move to a beat in the dance floor space, exploring a nonverbal openness [in the security of shared understanding of consent].

Sunset reaching my eyes through 8-foot-tall rushes/grass while the sound of redwing blackbirds was trilling in my ears, Oak Hill Park in Wooster Ohio

It wafts, it’s wafty, it exudes waftiness, it all makes sense.

Here is a pinwheel bouquet assembled from your mock orange… hope you like it.

Love it! I hope you don’t mind, the beautiful curving fanning shape gave me the idea for a couple of patterns:

That was cool, especially watching the spread of tiny splashes after it fell, but I got admit I thought that that piece was gonna be the prelude to a much larger event

This one racquetball-sized flower appears like a miniature bouquet of flowers when you use a camera to get more detail than the casual eye willl resolve.

Yep! This is the dawn of a new era for the Catholic Church, not with simple stuff like accepting that trans people exist, but with something that really brings Chicago into The Church such as declaring at communion that the body and blood of Christ is best represented by deep dish pizza.

Except that The Bears will now be called the Chicago Monsignors (because “The Lambs” didn’t feel right)

Thanks for linking me to all of the information and response to my question. Now this innate violence by our relative calls our human nature back in the question; but maybe we have bonobos in our nature, and of course we continue to evolve genetically and socially.

I wonder if this “bad apples” analysis also applies to studies of chimpanzees; the book “demonic males” makes the case for inherent violence based on that lineage, conveniently ignoring bonobos I guess, but maybe even chimp violence is a few individuals or under land-defending circumstances.

Thanks for the gracious response to my feedback that might only apppy to those of us with visual sensitivities (although discomfort with vivid blue is fairly common: that end of the color spectrum focuses differently within the eyeball leading to pseudo-3D motion effects: #chromostereopsis

I have found some of your previous week to be in uniquely interesting, but for this one, It’s hard to see any effects that might be in the video with this visually painful color palette

I would cry contradiction if these were simply reporting the inflation rate itself, but in both cases the reporting is about projections of public reactions, which are indeed different as described; my main complaint is with the word “hot” which is both negatively biased and too ambiguous.

This article captures my frustration with “node”-style network thinking; patterns of interaction happen at multiple scales, not just in the individual or the whole. Indeed, “Mechanism” might appear to be the territory, but it’s the map; Behavior, from neurons to clumps of birds, is the territory.

Now illegal in a state near you.. I know a local college campus feels pressured (preemptive compliance?) to eliminate any gender neutral bathrooms or lose federal funding.

I’m glad you like it, especially because that one preserves the asymmetrical natural form of the tree.

I selected this among many of my more vivid Northern Lights photos because we can see the way the aurora collaborated with some street lights to create some Blue Sky out of the darkness. #Refraction #Prism #Bluesky #StormBauer #Photo #SciArt #NorthernLights #AuroraBorealis

How did you create that background, which has no hint of pencil lines anywhere? Ultra soft graphite spread around with cloth?

Anthropomorphizing is easier if you gradually downgrade your understanding of what it is to be human.

Sometimes a subtle progression of #Bluesky hues plays a role in some digital art I make, in this case a pinwheel I made from a photo of a tree branch full of flowers. #StormHour #PhotoHour #DigitalArt

Some #bluesky at dusk, with the sunset behind me and Mars in front of me (and oh yeah this tree I like), taken in Burbank Ohio.

He can try to make the case that they should steal because China is going to steal, selling it to the people who think that his company as a proxy for the US needs to win the race, but he can’t convince us that it’s “fair“ use

Good point, I was intending use excellent as a word of enthusiasm to convey that I appreciated the humor, but I agree that as a physical description it was not clear, so I should’ve been more specific in my praise

It was riveting to watch you speak with clarity, sincerity, focus, determination, and advocacy. By contrast, although his questions were good, my neurodivergence made me want to close my eyes every time Guy was speaking to not be confused and distracted by his continuous incongruous smile…

I’m encouraging my local democracy and diversity support movement to do their organizing and collaboration over Signal now that certain words are being policed so heavily by the media platform oligarchy.
