Begin counting down to a Pause the Plan'er bringing up the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan during an #a2council public comment as "support" for their "concern" about A² water & sewer infrastructure not being able to handle planned growth as described in the draft comprehensive land use plan.

I wish that #a2council would make an official announcement that, no, the comprehensive land use plan update process will not be "paused". It is legally required, has already been ongoing for years, & if people wish to engage w/ this ongoing process there are still many opportunities to do so.

We could have beautiful quadplexes all over Ann Arbor (pic 1), #a2council, but Pause the Plan folks apparently do not appreciate beautiful multifamily housing, & would rather see small starter homes (& the trees around them!) be replaced by sprawling multi-million dollar mansions (pics 2-4).

Seeing the upcoming Wes Anderson box set from Criterion makes me wish I liked Wes Anderson movies more than I do. It also makes me wish more directors would work with physical media companies to produce career retrospective sets consonant with their films' aesthetics.
