There’s a protest at Parliament square, 1pm tomorrow if you can make it: www.attitude.co.uk/news/trans-r... Or here’s how to contact your MP: www.writetothem.com

That feels like it's putting it lightly... in some of the worst parts of it they're not just complicit, they're the self-aware, intentional, and deliberate force *behind* the harms.

Thank you for sharing! It's definitely millions, our last estimate for users since Heather started Scarleteen is 90million and that's not counting people who have accessed their books, or recieved information second-hand, or free impacts of what volunteers have done since being at Scarleteen.

So sorry Killian! Polypane is an amazing achievement and must be so much work: not sure what this other project was but it can be an equally important thing to know when to let something go.

I think of the breadcrumb as a slice of a sitemap, with the last crumb indicating "you are here" - I don't think breaking from that pattern would be too much of an issue if everyone did it at the same time, but being inconsistent *could* confuse. Maybe a case for `visually-hidden`?

Precisely... This is a structural problem, and too many adults are taking comfort in the idea that "incel media did it" so "anti-incel media can undo it" - as if just-say-no stopped anyone doing drugs! Must be amnesia! All of this to avoid public spending and open communication with young people.

Feels a bit like paying the mafia to protect you from the mafia - I've been seeing what I can achieve with bunny.net as a CDN instead - not as good at fighting the attack but still plenty of features for me to fiddle with.

I switched to "inline-block" instead of flex to be able to use balance... That, and collapsing whitespace lets you have "between" elements which disappear from line start & line ends.

This shit has been going on for two weeks for us, a relatively small site.... We were DDoSed back in the day and it would last 24 hours maybe, we would block some IPs and move on. This time round with LLMs it's just relentless and has made it hard to do ANYTHING else, blocking whole countries etc.

"Every time I sit down for beers or dinner or to socialize with my sysadmin friends it’s not long before we’re complaining about the bots and asking if the other has cracked the code to getting rid of them once and for all. The desperation in these conversations is palpable."

Some of that might have been an over-correction for previous monog-only messaging from previous generations and romance narratives in fiction & media - but I think there's also an older ageist idea that "these are the years for sleeping around" because later you'll be ug won't have any options.

Not that I expect that weasel to do anything good with the data, but I know that even doing patient safety research in the US is difficult due to competing hospitals not sharing information with eachother. Spoke to someone in that sector who said they are constantly reinventing the wheel.

Read your other replies re the central park 5 - I think when someone has done 100 times more than we ever will for justice, they can SURELY have some grace for isolated wrongness, even moreso when they're flippin deceased! Who wants to be remembered for the worst they said one time? Come on.

It was super disappointing, had to switch off half way as I was taking time away from other work to give it my attention - thank goodness it was online!
