Guy called Richard Money. Played at Liverpool, Fulham, Luton. He was the RB Tony Morley turned inside out when we beat Liverpool at home the year we won the league! He won the league with Walsall as a manager too

It wasn’t nice seeing him lose his love for the game & abandon his dreams. No way of knowing if he’d have been good enough, but he just stopped wanting it

No mate, I wasn’t anywhere near good enough. I actually shied away from playing, too much expectation for the shy young lad I once was. My dad & step dad were both pros & my little brother was a professional rugby player, so was in the Tigers academy

Not sure mate. They have tutors & classroom time, but it’s not the same as being in school. My lad was put on the school release programme a year early, he was classed as ‘gifted’ so he only did 4 days a week, for 3 years. They do GCSE’s but not as many subjects as regular kids.

It broke my son at 13. All he wanted to be was a footballer. He asked to leave in the end, it was too much, too intense, too demanding

Sadly for every Ty there are 100 lads who won’t replicate that

Oh the club has to make tough decisions, zero room for sentiment, but these lads have made a huge sacrifice just to get to this point. They take reduced GCSE’s, absence from school, not sure they do A Levels, but they may end up really needing them in the real world

My lad was at Wolves with Max Lott, we spent a lot of time with his family. Always extra sad when u see people you know

Could only ever see a loan, theoretically once again. I don’t think a permanent would be possible due to the finances

I’d expect a different version of him tbf. Not the Pep version, that’s tactics, but somewhere inbetween, a more tactically aware, intelligent footballer, even if he doesnt quite run like he used to

Yep, lazy link to a previous target probably. Interesting to see what we do this summer, what we spend massively dependant on what we sell

Kang-In would be great I think

Can’t remember the last time Rogers played 10?

That’s the one! As if it ever gets released in its full, accurate form, if at all

I did NOT see you post this before me! 😂

Yeah, that’s the worry, we all think he’d come back & be the same player, but would he be? There is a golden rule, never go back, my Dad is testament to that, but sometimes it works out great. Ashley Young was different, but still a good buy

He’s a very different player to them tho, more technically refined, more in the mould of the direction Emery wants to go to be a team who controls games?
comment in response to

That’s why I say hypothetical, as the wages etc are an issue. Loan with City covering a big portion might work, but not sure City would be up for that
comment in response to
post
I’m not really buying either Rogers or Grealish in the 10 role instead, as Grealish is completely unproven there & there’s a reason Emery stopped playing him there too. Grealish/Asensio/Rogers is a great trio behind Ollie tho on paper
comment in response to

Nope, they don’t care what he is. They either dismiss it out of hand, or think its politically motivated

Nothing could swing them. Absolute cult

Nope. Well documented that Trump & Epstein were good friends. And this is real…

That’s my understanding too, next June is the bigger consent, and the wages situation

Rogers stats are superb in terms of g/a, but there’s no denying the eye rest has been pretty horrible far too regularly when he’s played on the right. Really really hoping it’s been a means to an end this season

Well, the lack of Champs Lge st least kills the probable bid for Felix at least

Digne used to be the highest earner, not sure he still is. Think that’s old news

Well, he’s coming, I believe. Rogers to Chelsea is concerning me a bit, they have genuine interest

Oh yeah, I get that too Tom. His value only goes down year on year now. We’re offering Kamara the world to stay too, who arguably offers more to building a successful team

We were a Chris Wood missed sitter from 7th too
comment in response to

Any if Chris Woods had scored that sitter he missed, we’d be in the conference league. We won’t be the only disappointment fans after yesterday
comment in response to

10 is probably being generous too, but Emi is so much more than saves, can’t underestimate his competitive attitude, in a team who can still be too soft. We’ll miss that immensely

That’s a pretty good effort!!
