Bec! I had this in November. I agonised thinking ignore shiny ideas, finish the thing. But this idea seemed very shiny. So I wrote it - finished a first draft last night! I don’t know yet if it’s the right decision, but it would’ve tormented me if I hadn’t. I say trust your instincts which one to do

So much! Winter-me and spring-me are on different stages of an evolutionary chart 😂

I’m good thanks, how about you? Hope you and yours are well and enjoying a deserved celebration (or a nap - sometimes that’s as prized for me now I’ll be honest 😂) x

Fancy putting your head where he wanted to fly, Steve! 😂 They say being pooped on by a bird is lucky, so maybe in some strange way being scalp-scraped by raven talons will bring good fortune..? Here’s hoping.

Also, if we’re not allowed to hibernate when clearly we’re meant to, can’t we at least be allowed to wear PJs 24/7 in winter?

Liking in solidarity. Wishing you a swift transition to PJs and chill time Natali!

The Runaways by Ruth Thomas. I loved this book so much! And anything by Nina Bawden.

Not sure what my sneaky little hobbitses were up to in this pic. Not feeling as reverent as me?

Treebeard & the Ents featured in The Two Towers, later, but… I like to believe the local rumour they were inspired by this oak. In 1917, recovering here after the Somme, Tolkien penned The Fall of Gondolin - one of his first set in middle earth - on the back of a sheet of military marching music.

Ah, same. I think I’m more Proust’s mum than I am Proust in this scenario 😂
