And then they beat the Bucks. Weird team, man. Weird team.

Feels like that’s just about it for the Magic this season. Injuries haven’t been kind but much of the collapse has been their own doing - building a roster without shooting (or any real idea of what they’re doing at PG) and just relying on Paolo/Franz to bail them out… disaster.

The Roosters have like 8 origin or international players, including James Tedesco, and everyone is like “yeah they suck, they’re missing the 8.” And they’re right? The halves are messy but that roster is still stacked. Shouldn’t be getting towelled up like that. #NRL

Footy is back, and I've got a few thoughts on the season ahead: - Dragons Attack - Zac Lomax’s Move - Harry Grant’s Career-Best Season - The Non-Ballplaying Forward - Quick Player Notes

I want Howie to take over the books of every sports team I follow. He’s so fucken good.

With Havertz, as well as legit debate about did Arsenal bring it on themselves, do also think the extra Jan European games were a real fucker. The fact that half of England’s Euro representatives have been completely decimated by injury this season suggests a bigger issue. 1/4

this haptic display absolutely rocks. basketball is for everyone.

We were told we had to post this by today.

A short thread which basically says “no, they definitely fucking did not get enough back for Luka, are you stupid?”

The NBA is broken.

Orlando is officially broken. What happened to my beautiful gritty defensive gurus from December?!

Another move for Patty - from the worst team in the west to a (serious?) playoff contender.

People losing their minds on the other place about Tel. There was never an indication that he wanted to play for us. We have what appears to be a harmonious squad, players that want to, and are proud to, play for us. Last night may just be the positive result to inspire a proper comeback #COYS

The Eagles announced that they have opened the practice window for Brandon Graham to return from IR.

I think Steve Smith is a Test great, no question. But this is excellent, evidence-based analysis of his claim to greatness and how it stacks up against those already in the 10,000 club. A really interesting read.

A fair summary, which apportions blame on many fronts (perhaps largely starting with an inadequate recruitment plan for over a decade). In that time Spurs have been a BIG club that hasn’t really believed itself to be, or strived to be, a big club.

I’ll say, though… IF Levy and the board do hold their nerve and don’t sack Ange but instead commit and move to improve this squad, I’ll be tipping my hat. Not a lot of clubs would have with our league form being what it is.

Jeff Laurie / Bradley Cooper buy Tottenham Hotspur please

A great thread about why NBA has been the best sport at growing on this app (along with NFL, really). And from a different perspective, with the NRL season starting soon it would be great to see a mobilising of NRL fans/journos here. @campo37.bsky.social is the GOAT of #NRLSky. We need more though.

Magic being on TV in Australia is basically a guaranteed loss, based on this season. But even so this has been a bad performance. Horrendous from 3, distinct lack of defensive intensity/rebounding. Come back Franz, basically.
