Wow, when do you think you bought it?

MAHA is a scam, but it’s a scam flourishing on ground made fertile because liberals left the field wide open. They refused to fight for health as a collective right. Now the far right’s selling carewashed poison, and the only counteroffer is more managed and subsidized abandonment.

Nice score. Looks like you have a few of those Mavica floppy disk cameras in there too.

my pencil sharpener is 30 years old and is capable of defeating an F/A-18 super hornet at sharpening pencils, a task for which it received specific development and the hornet didn't. this is very profound, don't you think

And given the timing of this discussion in relation to yet another media hype cycle by Musk to divert attention away from his political failings, why should anyone give the benefit of the doubt here? Even sincere engagement serves their interests

How "cool" is this project compared to things like preserving the habitability of the planet we're all actually living on?

I've been flirting with this idea for some time now, but I have never learned how. Any recommended resources to close the skill gap?

I was about to suggest John Dunsworth as a successor, but then remembered that he has already passed.

I'm in the same boat, but with Gentoo and/or Tinycore Linux I have the Libretto 110, which might have more RAM (mine has 64MB, i think), but that still isn't enough to unpack the second stage boot loader. Will fix this some day...

Fun fact: Bakshi has been auctioning off cels and illustrations from his films on eBay for a year or more, including those from rotoscoped scenes like this one: ebay.us/m/LFYISQ

I should add that Levy's use of "Hackers" here is in reference to the boundary pushing "make the system do more than it was built for" type of hacking, not cybercrime.

"Hackers" has a different theme, but it covers the 70s.
