Yep exactly that. Make a bunch of money while complaining about the state of the club?

I hate the idea so many would chuck him out as if even getting to this final with the season we’ve had was nothing. Like, not even luck. If we’re able to win it like… why can’t we go all the way in PL next season? A European trophy’s gotta be worth something in the conversation.

The larger point has been don’t use owning STs to say you’re entitled to more (or less) than any other supporter. Spurs suck in the Prem this year? They suck for everyone and the fact that you sacrifice your weekend or money doesn’t matter. We all make a choice to support this club.

This has been part of my point all along. Despite being on two OSC boards, going to summer tours, getting up early or skipping work for every match, and traveling thousands of miles, there’s a subset of ST holders that still think we’re fair weather supporters.

And how many times in your life have you been on our side, spending thousands to go to a single match, traveling thousands of miles to get there and the rest of the time waking up at 4am to hopefully watch with your friends if someone will open? The condescension…

I get that, I really do. And I’d do the same if given the opportunity to buy them. But recognizing I made that choice and slagging off the club is unbecoming.

Seems way healthier to be like, "We were shit today (of course we were)... bring on that EL final and let's get it done" than moaning about whatever same talking points keep going around, right?

You make that choice, you pay that money, you inconvenience your family — again, the only entitlement there is to choose not to do it again next season if you're unhappy with the club and let someone on the ST waitlist fill the gap.

It certainly disappoints people. I'm disappointed. I also can hold two truths at one time — we suck in the Prem and have done great in the EL. Not disappointed on that front. Everyone's so fixated on the negative showing and few recognize the layers and nuance (depth, spend, luck).

I mean, if you want to voice discontent with the club, yes. And on the reverse, lots of people who want tickets and can't get them currently will go and cheer on the lads. Lots of people on the ST waitlist who would gladly pick up non-renewed packages.

Considering how many managers we've had over the previous period, too 😂

W/o the massive int'l support watching from the discomfort of early mornings + late nights in dive bars + pubs around the world, feeling the same emotions you do, oh, high and mighty ST holder, this club would be in a very different position. We spend a lot, travel far, & are just as dedicated.

Doesn't matter either way. I live in a capitalistic society and understand the complaint: it's wrong. Spurs aren't something you bought on Amazon. Thinking that being a ST holder entitles you to anything other than the opportunity not to renew them next season is what's wrong with our supporters.

And I'm glad I follow you here. For years all we've heard is how much we need a trophy, and now that one is in reach, it's not enough. Credit where it's due, Ange got us to a European final faster than Poch did. And we have a good chance at taking it home.

lol to toxic positivity. I haven’t seen many positive posts about our form this year. But being encouraged or finding hope bc we’ve done well in EL and have often dominated in stats (if not goals) is far from toxic positivity. Lots of crying about wasted money or whatever tho.

I’m just saying… voting with your wallet is way more effective than whinging on social media or booing our players. #COYS

Then don’t spend the money and go do something else with your weekend until you’re comfortable backing the club again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
comment in response to post
The answer is, obviously, to not buy tickets next season and open those up for people who will actually get behind the club. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@waudude.bsky.social I think we have to make a Coupe SPO now...

Missed it the first time with Poch. Better keep Ange this go round.

It’s marketing though right? I love a convection oven but I don’t get thinking of it as a type of fryer before thinking of it as an oven.

What I’ve learned from using code agents is that they all have been trained to abstract, obfuscate, and complicate. And so… humans suck?

I’ve been considering.
