Oh, there’s no shortage of stupid in the millennial crowd. At least we didn’t give the world Drake.

If they would have told us we should embrace crackpot anti-vaxxers, I would have the same opinion about them too. But they didn’t.

The Sanders campaign leaders were damn near as bad as the Trump campaign folks. And then people wonder why the majority of the party repeatedly refused to put him on the general ticket.

Elon is going to die from LVH heart failure from the steroid abuse long before that

This is a stupid take from the guy but i don’t think it’s totally unfair for moderates to be frustrated. If progressives win primaries, moderates will support them. I don’t think it unreasonable to ask for it to be reciprocated.

You always have the option of getting the most votes in the primaries for the people you want.

Progressives need to offer a credible alternative first. Complaining about settling without offering a plausible alternative is just whining.

Looks like most republicans are running from it right now.

The Hughes comparison is valid though in that he has lost his grip on reality.

Believe what you want. Actual facts say otherwise. It was founded in 2003 and its first profitable full year was 2020. Even last year without selling regulatory credits, Tesla would have lost money. They consistently lose money on just selling cars.

Tesla was a pyramid scheme to take advantage of environmentalists. The government subsidies that kept Tesla solvent for its first 17 years of being unprofitable could have been directed elsewhere and achieved the same things without the racism side effect.

Ukraine is the best farmland in all of Europe. That’s what Putin is really after. Nuking Ukraine would make the land unusable defeating the main reason for the war.

If millennials and gen z voted in the same percentages as boomers, they would run everything. All these boomer politicians were elected in their 20s and 30s because took power from the ww2 and silent generation at the ballot box. Stop expecting power to be gifted.

This is much like of the same problems that anti-vaxxers have when they reject expert opinion for political purposes

Glyphosphate wasn’t linked to cancer by the vast majority of toxicology expert organizations around the world, it was linked by a jury trial of non-experts and one regulatory organization who used discredited data.

Why would you trust any doctors if you truly believe the entire medical system is trying to kill your kids? The urgent care doctors go to the same medical schools as pediatricians.

You’re never going to out lie crazy people though. It’s like thinking you’re going to use the one ring against Sauron. And sticking to facts will eventually prevail. It’s just a lot more work.

Pundits in general are disingenuous, left, center, and right. Its more about your average person who makes no money here. I generally agree with leftists and almost never with the right but if you challenge some on the left even a little, they will go from zero to fascist accusations in a NYC second
comment in response to

This is a bit of a strawman. I’m not seeing any moderate democrats saying liberals are a threat. They are mostly saying that if you don’t win the primary please help stop the right wingers instead of taking your ball and going home in general elections to teach the party a lesson. Again.

Feel free to use healing crystals instead of the emergency room full of scientific insiders. It’s probably just an out of balance miasma and not bacterial pneumonia anyway.

Yes, it does depend on the specific vaccine. MMR for example is contraindicated in immunocompromised. The point is they may not be as effective and may have more adverse events in the immunocompromised without high community vaccination rates.
comment in response to
post
Immunocompromised can’t get effective vaccinated. Your immune system has to work for vaccines to work. That’s the fucking point of everybody else getting vaccinated. We don’t have a base sixth grade health class understanding of human biology in this country.

Fortunately Putin is smart enough to know he would take a serious ass whooping in a conventional war with NATO. Unfortunately Trump is dumb enough to escalate to a nuclear exchange.

Centrist labeling is usually followed by the laziest strawman this side Charlie Kirk about centrists only go exactly down the middle on every issue regardless of relevant facts.

Some major cv risk factors aren’t strongly associated with diet. They are often genetically driven. For example 80-90% of atherosclerotic LDL levels are controlled by the liver. You could cut your bad cholesterol intake in half and still not significantly affect cardiovascular health.

Curious he doesn’t give an example with polling of what he’s talking about. Most of the positions republicans are championing are wildly unpopular when asked by reputable polling organizations and not deliberately vague polls designed to get a certain outcome.

Marketing their musical and basketball skills. My point is that just because you’re rich doesn’t make you smart in fields outside of your expertise. That’s where Musk and so many others, rich and poor, let their egos turn them into crazy people.
comment in response to
post
It kind of depends on your definition of rich. Many people would consider LeBron or Taylor Swift rich. Not saying either isn’t smart but they are wealthy because they are really good at one thing.
comment in response to
post
Being rich for most usually has more to do with doing one thing better than most everybody else that people will pay for than being smart. Floyd Mayweather is allegedly functionally illiterate but he’s great at not getting punched in face in a boxing ring.

Who was the specific alternative for 2024? Where are they now? My issue is with people who are complaining about the primaries but never offered an alternative other than a guy who was older than Biden who had already lost primaries twice.

I saw a thread the other day that said Jon Stewart can’t speak for working people because he makes a lot of money. I started to say that sounded a lot like the shut up and dribble crowd on the right but could tell from the other comments it would have started a shit storm so I just scrolled by.
