The truth is that when you actually ask trans men about our experiences of violence, we suffer victimization at comparable rates to trans women. Nothing about being trans *men* makes us safer, as some people like to assert.

I hate to break it to everyone but queer people and even other trans people, even some trans men, regularly claim trans men don't suffer from transphobic oppression and violence because of the kind of erasure that's happening to Sam Nordquist in death.

People are more interested in seeing trans men as betrayers and corruptions of femininity, there aren't any real methods people want to reconcile with trans men. Trans men are not really interested in spurning womanhood, they're interested in rejecting societal coercion, to reinvent masculinity

Also, I absolutely love it when my strange wee “pet theories” are spotted out in the wild like this. So exciting.

I have some of this truly dazzling wood up on my wee shop. Come take a look and add some to your own collection: ko-fi.com/deeptimedepo...

Relics of Mesozoic Appalachia are very dear to me and I’m thrilled to have some of this material in my collection. *chef’s kiss*

Also known as Brilliant wood, named for the town where they are found—but it’s an apt name, as this wood can be found absolutely encrusted with smoky quartz druzy crystals, giving it a truly dazzling effect.

If they are disrespecting human workers, then they probably aren’t respecting our mycelial allies either.

Oh indeed. I’m going to see what alt or better sources I can find. But this is why I say ultimately, find a basement grower you trust, get to know their business and cultivation methods. Develop a relationship of trust and, well, buy “small business” lol.

@thatgalbunnybrown.bsky.social figured you might want to see this, too. I mean, I’m not surprised at all, but I am disappointed.
