From soldier to the world of tourism. I draw stuff, I read (try to write), and love most creatures great & small. Very much into history.

Not even the worst writer of fiction would imagine a villain so over the top in ignorance, narcissism, despotism, and buffoonery.

See; I look at them as more like the SA -- the Brown Shirts; thugs with pseudo authority. The Gestapo, operated with more finesse; they wouldn't get their hands dirty. They would use the SA for that.

An orangutan can be pretty fucking dominant, but you wouldn't want one guarding a fireworks factory.

Hitler frequently disregarded intelligence reports that painted a negative picture of the war effort.
Hitler seemed more receptive to intelligence that aligned with his ideological worldview.
Hitler subscribed to the "big lie" theory: a repeated falsehood can be more believable than the truth.

I know the whole Nazism thing pretty well; I've studied it enough to say so. I'll also say, and without hyperbole, that the trump administration is absolutely mimicking the early days of the Third Reich. ICE is more SA (the Brown Shirts) than Gestapo; though the latter directing the former is apt.

If a Canadian politician did a Mike Lee, they would be kicked to the curb so phuckin' fast.

Well, there's a difference between walking and marching -- marching requires more effort. But you're right to say they were walking. And they would have at least been able to stay in step (sync) if they had a bass drum to listen to instead of CCR.

The one thing I took away from that parade is that the US army can't march worth a phuck.

That, should be surrounding the white house.
That, should be filling the halls of congress.
That, should block the parade route.

When someone is tarred and feathered, the feathers are supposed to be lit on fire. So, I wonder from what page of Mikey's bible he drew that bit of divine inspiration from.
