What mechanism exists to sanction Justices who rule in explicit contradiction to the text? Oh yeah, #Impeachment.

CA Congressfolks need to start hearings however they can manage it, or question DHS and ICE staff in whatever hearings they show up for. They need to demand the DOJ in the (?) Central District of California to look into multiple civil rights violations. Bet that'll go quick.

California needs to pursue this as multiple felonies, charging everyone present as accessories. The officers/staff off site who issued the orders or had foreknowledge of the operation needs to be charged with conspiracy, including (if appropriate) upper echelons of ICE and DHS.

Bottom line: all and subsets of society suck at more than one thing. Appalling sexual violence and abhorrent racism both exist and this is not to say either one has it "worse"; if we have zero tolerance for both, having a lot of one and a little more of the other is both being wholly unacceptable.

In the recent era, 100% concur. But we aren't that far removed from a time when an accusation by a white woman against a black man would have caught FAR more traction, even if baseless. The vast majority of Cosby's allegations came from white women, so... we apparently got over that racism 😐.

We have a (jaw dropping) metric for what it takes to believe multiple accusers of a black man. I am not sure that is valid data for comparing to accusers of a pasty white dude. Just saying that the cultural bar historically is MUCH lower for one than the other. Ask Mayella Ewell.
