Thank you for posting this! I hope it gets reposted enough and that people actually send in their comments to have an effect…there seems to have been very little time for people to comment…I am surprised the proposal wasn't just passed through without allowing any comment.

There has got to be at least a few Republicans that are able to understand that this woman isn't qualified to make unbiased choices about the civil rights of all Americans.

Should rename it the Division of Inequality if she is put into that position…why even call it Civil Rights when there aren't going to be any Rights involved except for discrimination?
comment in response to post
Isn't it kind of a no brainer that you don't appoint someone who doesn't care about Civil Rights to be in charge of Civil Rights? Even Republicans can't be that stupid…or maybe they can.

what country is this happening in?

Hmm. Quite contemporary. I see the Prince character equating to our new president, and his followers as the large group that trashes the hospital…

methinks the tariffmaker will garner all the profits in secret offshore accounts…get rid of all inspectors so there is no one keeping tabs…what could go wrong? personally, I am waiting for the aide who will get into the tax records and hit the delete button…

Their first album, Reel to Reel Cacophony was kind of quirky. There were some interesting songs up til New Gold Dream, when they sort of "popped" out...

Simple Minds could be okay...who knows how they sound now though...

There are some parts that could be hard to take for some, but overall, Thompson has an interesting outlook on the future to come. He is a psychiatrist as well, which I think 💭 informs his characters and their interactions.
comment in response to post
It is! The Thompson book has aspects of future technology that isn't so far-fetched, if you squeeze your eyes closed and dream slightly. No, really, that is what makes it so interesting.

The ceiling above where my dad used to sit in his “easy” chair used to be yellow from cigarette smoke. I never smoked, except when traveling with my parents in a closed car. I used to get car sick quite a bit as a kid.

although no one listened when we screamed our heads off that the liar that won was lying his head off…that still irks me…stupidity is rampant…and probably will get worse

Quite an unusual interview. Perhaps hearing some of the copyist’s compositions would help. I never heard of the book Stockhausen received…

Such an early piece in my listening…I remember the textsound record compilation that either that piece or another was on…the early experiments were all so naive sounding compared to a lot of what is happening today.
comment in response to post
would be interesting to compile the sounds over a year and speed them up (or not). timelapse.

is there an element of chance to your turns?

Thanks for the Marquee Moon versions, Ty! I never knew he was such an interesting soloist from the three albums, and the only “live” version I heard was on the Roir tape…
comment in response to post
Oh, but wait…you put all that in one youtube video? Cool!

your project seems like quite an ambitious undertaking…I would imagine there are a lot of variation in the recordings as well as variations in the playing. I would love to have a listen to see what it sounds like…i think you can direct message me here…cheers!

We shall see. You are correct…Mastadon was trying too hard to categorize into what resembles “groups” in Facebook…it would be nice to continue in all-inclusive discussions…

I found all five books in this series excellent reading...a different twist on mystery writing. Funny, I went on to try his Magpie Murders, and misses the author’s self comments.
