Wasn't Stephen Miller one of these Trekkies who wanted to be Kirk? I feel like some Trekkies of a certain bent watch the show and can't hear the message but just want to be James Bond in a Constitution-class.

Pretty milquetoast there.

Something I don’t understand about the 300,000 deaths is why it’s being treated like something that is over instead of a mounting emergency climbing towards a million—that Musk could stop and fix any time with pocket change from his enormous riches (see OverthrowMusk.com for how enormous)

Do we think he read the articles about the murdering or not?

I don’t know where that is because I’m from California but I just laughed out loud

Really late in the campaign I think she said she would raise the minimum wage? But your question is very good, I remember a friend telling me I was asking for too much and she had to be like this because the Republicans control Congress and etc

Rep. Torres, could I interest you in @michellegoldberg.bsky.social's article about how Musk has caused an estimated 300,000 dead so far, and mostly kids? If enough die, will you change yer mind about encouraging Dems to work with this "redeemed" guy? www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o... #teslatakedown

Rep. Khanna, have you read this @michellegoldberg.bsky.social piece about how Musk's legacy is an estimated 300,000 dead and growing? I know the Hyperloop expo in Mtn. View was fun but would you maybe please consider not supporting a mass murderer? www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o... #teslatakedown

I know, I had to cancel my subscription to George Sanders's writing newsletter after seeing what was going on. It feels like there is an Onion headline somewhere in here about people getting money from this Nazi thing to write Tom Paine type essays about why this is our last chance to stop Nazis.

But also write them out huge checks. There is a leaderboard of who is earning the most in various categories. One of them proudly bills some Holocaust denier on top.

I also imagine that much like the Substack writer set the tone here by accusing the machine of lying, the New Yorker guy created this entire role-playing game of "hey we are having an amazing and humbling experience of seeing the dawn of the greatest scholastic breakthrough since Ancient Greece"

I see folks defending ChatGPT here using a glorified version of the defense of "it can't be wrong, it's you putting in wrong stuff." All I know is that when I had it read a story I wrote, I felt very flattered indeed until I realized it would flatter whatever I put in, even known psycho manifestos
