I'm not suggesting Bernie runs. I'm suggesting offering people the truth, "your economic situation sucks," and practical things that they actually want: healthcare, childcare, better wages, affordable housing.

I would too, simply in terms of harm reduction. But I think it's very much worth considering a strategy where democrats offer something that people really want. Trump won on middle class rage about the status quo. Bernie is packing stadiums in red states. It's worth a shot.

And Obama changed nothing when he did win 😅. Bombing weddings, introducing fake universal healthcare that did very little aside from enriching insurance companies, giving sweetheart deals to big tech.

Dems try so hard to not "concede ground" that they become "the enemy." Biden/Kamala was like... keep killing Palestinians, do nothing for the working class, and insist that the economy is amazing. I still voted for her. But I did so against my own conscience.

People are sick of being told by centrist libs, "actually the economy is really good." I think he has a very smart tactic of not even running as a socialist. He's just running on, "your life should be more affordable. I have a common sense agenda," which appears to be resonating.

I totally agree. I love magic. It would be really fun to have a plot constructed around "wait how did they do that?" followed by a reveal. Like The Prestige (or even something like Ocean's Eleven). Instead it's like -- no, for some reason these guys can do literal magic.
