Wow, that was fast! Unwanted and unneeded troops were immediately on the seen in CA., but on J6 when troops were vitally needed they never showed.

This won't turn out the way they think it will.

The spin has already started as if our entire city is in chaos. I went from Burbank all the way over to Koreatown on surface streets tonight and jackshit was happening. The CNN coverage makes it look like world war 3 and that’s what Trump wants so he and his fucking goons can come shoot Angelenos.

PETE HEGSETH IS THREATENING TO SEND MARINES INTO LOS ANGELES. This is in direct violation of the 1878 Posse Comitatus Act. It is an illegal order! You can reach the Marine Inspector General Hotline at 1-866-243-3887. www-irishstar-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.iris...

the government is intentionally manufacturing the conditions for violence against its own citizens, grim stuff

No ID? No papers? Are they cops?

It is possible to simultaneously be frightened of what tonight’s events mean for the country and for the people who may be harmed in LA, *and* to be angry as hell, to get in the streets, and to fight like hell.

California representatives did a check in where migrants were being detained. They found no beds, no food and no water. Children were among the detained.

Trump called the Los Angeles ICE protests “rebellion” Steven Miller: “insurrection” If emergency powers are invoked Trump can use the military Suspend habeas corpus Even put people in concentration camps The images seen in LA have been chilling But what Trump might do next could end democracy

Sunday 2pm LA City Hall 200 N Spring St Los Angeles, CA 90012

"Not legal" hasn't stopped them yet.

They've all sworn an oath to defend the constitution. This isn't it.

They have fffked up. The military will look bad doing whatever they do in US streets, neighborhoods, and against US citizens. People will respond. The public will be outraged.

"Ground littered with spent munitions"

Can you imagine the tea party reaction if Obama had federalized the Texas national guard for domestic law enforcement? Not one of those fucking cowards will speak out against this.

Dress for success

ICE detained a US marshal because he "fit the general description of a subject." Basically, they racially profiled their own kind.

seems like a military response in search of a riot

Unlawful orders for Unlawful action.

Tastes like fascism.

The deployment of federalized National Guard troops to California, without consent from local or state officials, is deeply troubling. These are tactics seen in authoritarian regimes, not in America. We want to be clear, the military should not be used to police civilians.

The Los Angeles Police Department has stated that demonstrations in the city have remained peaceful. Let that sink in.

I don't care if these monstrous ICE raids are a "federal operation". This is authoritarian violence, plain and simple. Just because Stephen Miller has kidnapping quotas for brown people he doesn't want to see on the street doesn't mean we have to think it's okay.

Read the thread.

A military Blackhawk helicopter is unloading dozens of boxes of allegedly weapons and ammunition in Los Angeles

Trump wants to be a dictator. Don't let him.

It's time to stand up. Feet on the streets. A free nation, if you can keep it. So go keep it!

Please help us. We have people who’ve been hurt just trying to help others. More are out now. Please, record everything. We will hold those accountable who are breaking the law and attacking our communities. Do not provoke.

Gov. Gavin Newsom said on social media that California National Guard was being taken over by the federal government “not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle.”

The world is watching. And we have friends everywhere. Upload everything, every moment. Don’t give them the chance to twist the truth. We have people on the way to help. You’re not alone. ✊🌙💚

Things to know about going to protests and demonstrations. 1 . Go. 2. Do the homework

Feet in the streets. It's time. Freedom isn't free. The fastest way to lose is is to not use it.

Of course they're going to lie. About everything.

This is clearly bullshit. If you've never protested before now is the time to exercise your rights before you lose them.

They want to eliminate your rights and freedoms. Claim them, use them, exercise them.

Your safety is the top priority. Peaceful protesters have already been harmed for doing nothing. The story they’re selling isn’t legit. Please film everything, document everything.

The situation in Los Angeles is about to plunge us into a national emergency, except the people that normally solve national emergencies are the ones creating it.

Statement from Gavin Newsom: “The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles — not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle. Don't give them one. Never use violence. Speak out peacefully.”

It's not OK

The military isn’t being employed to carry out an immigration policy. The immigration policy, and especially the way the administration is choosing to carry it out, is an excuse to call out the military.

Excellent Educational Information

Know your rights - The First Amendment protects your right to assemble and express your views through protest. However, police and other government officials are allowed to place certain narrow restrictions on the exercise of speech rights. Make sure you’re prepared by brushing up on your rights.
