Starmers statement aligns with Canada and EU. There is no 'agreement', just a statement of fact.

But Julia you don’t give a fig about people in pain or dying on waiting lists.
comment in response to post
Julia you are about to be the first person I have blocked on BlueSky. You are neither helping the NHS nor the Labour Party. This platform was set up to prevent this far left or far right rhetoric. Bye.
comment in response to post
Sorry Julia, GP’s do not work in the NHS they work for the NHS. They are independent???
comment in response to post
Julia, it even mentions in the article they are helping reduce waiting lists! I am against privatisation of the NHS. But people are in pain or even dying on lists. They are more important! This transcends politics. I know what it’s like waiting for a life saving op let’s get these lists down!
comment in response to post
No one wants privatisation. But no one wants to die or be in pain on a current waiting list. Let’s get waiting list right down and then discuss this. We are not going to help these people while we are arguing about privatizing. Apart from Reform no one is going to privitise the NHS.
comment in response to post
Voting Green will allow Reform to be elected. Is this what you really want?

2/ I totally disagree privatisation but given the state waiting lists etc surely this transcends politics. Don’t get me wrong, I am a great fan of the NHS 5 years ago today my cancerous liver was transplanted with a much better one. I know what it’s like waiting for ‘the call’.

1/ Julia, thanks for replying I really do appreciate this. We know jobs are being cut but from what functions? Are they administrative staff caused by the NHS being returned to being controlled by Dept Health? Or front line clinical doctors and nurses?

I accept what you are saying but this is a report from 2023 when the Tories were in government. Surely the sensible answer is trying to reduce these Tory made inequalities in the shortest time possible without wrecking the economy, which would increase suffering instead of trying to reduce it?

14 years of Tory mismanagement is not going to be cured in the short term. It’s going to take years to correct. Long term contracts are cheaper and so more people can be treated in the short term. Be careful political of rhetoric over patients treatment.

Julia, please give examples. My extensive personal experience is completely different.

Your comment exactly encapsulates the downright ignorance of people like you. Labour are left wing they are trying to repair our economy smashed by the Tories. I know let’s get the country into more debt, demolish the economy and sit back and watch how the poor will fair then. Economic moron.

Have you only just woken up to this. Only taken you over a century.

Appears HIGNIFY has been taken over by the Right wing Media.

I honestly can’t see the problem. Did Garry Linikar’s condemnation of the Tories affect his views on football? Next!

And it people posting stuff like this that devalue any potential criminal investigation. Conspiracy theories can interfere with such investigations. I would be interested to know how much investigative experience you have?

Labour inherited a massive £2.5 Billion Black hole from the Tories. Trump has put the world into a financial crisis. Where is more money coming from without damaging the markets so causing more price rises? Looks like you just want Reform to take over with your constant carping.

I’d rather stick pins in my eyes than read anything from this deluded idiot. Will it be named “50 shades of how to tank an economy”
comment in response to post
I’ll rip my degree up then and my disregard my 50 years of supporting Labour. Oh and my 38+ years of working with politicians of all parties.

I hate to tell you that GP’s are not ‘employed’ by the NHS. They are self employed and contracted to work for the NHS. The situation is the same for dentists however, NHS dentistry is far from lucrative compared with GP’s and many choose not to carry it out.

Christ Adam according to you they can’t do a thing right. This is not commentary it’s diatribe. With 14 years of misrule to deal with and a mad man as president, no government can possible save every job. Also no one appears to be commenting that Europe might not trust the UK and want us back?
comment in response to post
The trouble is, so many of the Tory Parliamentarians are exactly the same.

She is really not that good. I would say I feel sorry for the Tories but it would be a lie.

When are people going to realise speed kills. When you have lifted a dead child off the road after a car traveling at an estimated 31 mph has hit it (as I have) all your arguments against 20mph pail into insignificance.

This is a bland misleading statement. It’s not a blanket cut. Those that can work should. Those that can’t will be supported. Did you forget this?

Happy April Fools Day 🤣🤣🤣

Yes some people will either loose or have their benefits reduced. Those who can work but choose not to will have benefits reduced. Those that cannot work will still receive benefits. This bland statement from you is misleading.
