I've not been sick and today I feel a bit woozy but otherwise fine: no more head ache, no more light flashes, no nausea/sickness/vomiting, just a liiiitle bit weird but it feels **amazing** to just be sitting at my desk and typing this and not be in bed having a full-blown migraine 🥰

So it's not that cola works against migraine, it's that it aids metroclopramide hydrochloride in working against migraine. I'm new to both meds and last night was my first time taking them and the first time I had a migraine come up but not develop into a full-blown migraine.

She prescribed sumatriptan and metroclopramide hydrochloride and explained to me that the metroclopramide deals best with migraine-related nausea/sickness and that somehow the combination of original coke's sugar/carbon dioxide/caffeine works especially well together with tthe metroclopramide

side note but if you want a European alternative to Coca Cola, I recommend Jolly Cola (Danish, nowadays owned by Carlsberg I think?) but that's hard to get here and more expensive

FWIW I will skip ***any and all political advertising*** regardless of who or what it's for or against and I'm certainly not going to pay YouTube to watch ad free as long as they're also making money from political advertising as incessant as this; it's nearly every ad break!
comment in response to post
...and it's EXPENSIVE! (I did not even realise that part until I had succesful surgery and suddenly wasn't chronically ill anymore... just living life got so much less expensive)

Was it Right Here Right Now? With the (soviet?) imaging projecting on him?

They just need to find one trans person whose internal transphobia they can quote or just any other trans person whose words they can misrepresent, and they'll publish it as representative of (all) trans people. It's so weird

I remember when @nytimes.com had fact-checkers who went as far as seeking confirmation or corroboration when opinion writers wrote inconsequential anecdotes about, say, walking into a bar. Now it seems they'll publish anything readers may accept however untrue because they don't know any better.

(*note: they don't sell the short-sleeve version anymore and appear to be phasing out the long-sleeve cotton-rich ones in favour of synthetic-fabric alternatives)
comment in response to post
Jaeger's are fab but long-sleeve and at £79 not within my current budget. Uniqlo's are nice but synthetic (pencilled in as an alternative, though, if all else fails. No luck (yet) at TK Maxx but trying different stores. And I had no one to complain to about this but needed this lunch break moan 🙃

Buying men's shirts is not an option for my D/DDs and I've already got the Marks & Spencer's shirts (they're good actually, especially the ones with the extra reverse buttons on the chest)*. H&M's/Next's/George's/F&F's/Primark's etc women's shirts are translucent/transparent.

So, no, I won't apologise for this 8-part threaded rant. I am but a broke, powerless (and effectively homeless) migrant whose only platform is my social media accounts and the only power I hold is to annoy the flying fig out of you all. /rant over (for now)

And I get it, we all have bills to pay and mouths to feed and we may not all be affected negatively by complying and conforming (whereas we will be, for sure, by not conforming or even resisting). But it's so [bleep]ing depressing that this is it, now, this is our world #IHateItHere
comment in response to post
Any time there is a moment in history for press and media to step up, for journalists to do the thing of holding power to account, too many of them just... don't.
comment in response to post
This is how the moneyed buy power and influence. This is how we end up (again) with blaming countries for getting attacked or invaded. This is how powerless vulnerable people get blame for being marginalised and disadvantaged.
comment in response to post
This is how stupid takes over and how unreliable LLMs get to take over real people's jobs because if you dumb people down enough, LLMs may appear intelligent by comparison.

You're about as convincing as trickle-down economics (which has been disproven time and again, but is still spread like gospel). Enjoy the ratio.
