Student of democracy and its rise and fall which has been minimally useful domestically. Until now. “This isn’t just a moment it’s the movement.” That’s my pup Pippin (like the hobbit).

Mmm not sure we can give ALL of them due process that’d be like thousands of trials. Directly to The Hague (or El Salvador) is the only option

“You were like if the RNC in Tampa Bay were a person– blonde, sneering, self-important yet aggressively tacky, and also a little sweaty.” From one of the best articles I’ve read in the past few weeks open.substack.com/pub/erinryan...

So…we’re all just nodding along at Bowser flanking Trump at a briefing…? That’s just normal now? Cool. Everything’s fine.

Frankly I thought “Trump is deporting American babies with cancer” was a sure fire dealbreaker…

Preach. I’ve been advocating for the tariffs since early Feb when I became a casualty of the federal workforce bloodletting.

6️⃣ When the regime refused to concede defeat, organizers launched targeted strikes—like shutting down a mine that powered 70% of Serbia’s electricity. 7️⃣ Protestors stayed peaceful, even with the police. They reminded officers, “You’re victims too,” making repression harder.

3️⃣ Humor and hope are key. Otpor’s demos were creative, funny, and human—not just angry. 4️⃣ When activists were arrested, supporters showed up at courthouses and jails within minutes. Speed = solidarity. 5️⃣ Local leadership matters. Trusted figures from each community helped mobilize broader support.

1️⃣ Protest alone isn’t enough. You have to reach ordinary people—especially the fearful, disengaged, or skeptical. 2️⃣ Otpor framed resistance as patriotic, not partisan. They didn’t run for office and refused to align with political parties that had lost public trust.

A layer of pollen lined the trash I just took out from the hair I vacuumed up from my balcony after brushing Pip. I wipe down my balcony table one day and it’s covered again the next. Insane.

This has been happening since the week of the Inauguration. They literally let food aid from USAID rot on tarmacs once USAID got DOGE’d. Don’t mean to criticize, just…make sure everyone in your orbit knows now that you’ve seen it first-hand.

Perfect that he brought up Fiji Water. It’s produced by an American company, like so many products we buy that are sourced abroad. The company also owns POM, which is sourced in the US. They really think the company won’t hike prices on POM to help cover the increased cost to source Fiji water?
