totally get that! The arc of her processing and really coming into her own in the next books is so worth it if you can manage it

Reading Timothy Egan’s A Fever in the Heartland. Just one of many, but goes throw the rise of the KKK. Highly readable for such awful subject matter and very illuminating on this very subject.

I wish my teenage self had the Indian Lake trilogy growing up!! If you think she can handle all the subject matter, would highly recommend

To be so obsessed with the Depp/Heard case that it’s in your bio and you post about it a bunch is fucking weird anyways… not to mention the obviously transphobic shit you repost. Sorry your prefrontal cortex never fully formed

Abolish the police. We don’t need them and society would be better off without them.

Do you have any comfort movies/movies that you return to over and over? Even if they’re not always conventionally comforting, I know mine aren’t always!

The one time I’m glad David Lynch is no longer with us is so he doesn’t have to see this atrocious and disgraceful misinterpretation of his life’s work

The Smithsonian just confirmed:
— The Greensboro lunch counter is on view at NMAH
— One Woolsworth's stool is on view at NMAAHC (there are two but they rotate)
— The virtual Greensboro lunch counter interactive is up and running at NMAAHC
There's been no change. blackpressusa.com/the-smithson...

I was actually thinking about this specific episode the other day, where Hannah goes “that’s Adam” and Jessa says “he could sort of be the original man”. That line alone is Hall-of-Fame TV writing

stayed in a psych hospital as a teen, shared a room with a trans guy forced to room w me, a girl, and wrong gender marker on their band. first time I had met a trans person (to my knowledge) and really saw the struggles he went thru just to exist. gave me a lot of perspective when I needed it most.

After reading Manhunt, I knew I’d read every book you put out. Cherry on top is finding you on here and seeing that you have amazing takes!
