I don't see a good reason to rush Logan back next week in Arizona. The velo last night in Tacoma was concerning (tho I heard overall his stuff looked great). Ms aren't scoring runs, having Logan back won't help that. Hancock has had 4 strait starts against tough teams and has performed well for a 5.

I don't think you need term limits if you had an agreed upon retirement age, like 75 even. Or you can run for office but you can't be in leadership after 70. Like Pelosi is Pelosi, but she did hand off to Jeffries.

Was just thinking about this.

One of my favorite absurd things about the very silly Fast Six is when people figured out that the long chasing a plane down the runway scene would have needed a runway about 6 miles long based on how long the scene takes.

I thought @typewriteralley.bsky.social reported it's 10ft and 15ft based on the number of units?

I like to think the Pope stayed up late to finish the 18 inning game.

Feels like there's a anti-trump-style reflex among some amount of dem voters, strategists, talking heads that is specifically skeptical and skittish of charismatic candidates, and that really needs to be exorcised.

quick explanations always fall short, but I appreciated someone the other day introducing me to the phrase "fascism is when white people experience colonialism." There is a force present in your community that can, without consequence, inflict violence for funsies bc you don't have the right papers.

Like, the if we end up in a half decade stagflation, federal hiring is one of the easiest ways to restart the economy. WPA baby!

There's a reason a bunch of the firings got halted, blocked, delayed, etc by the courts. They are very stable jobs with fantastic benefits. People will come back. Though, seems like reforming the probationary rules to reflect total service time and not restart with each title change would be good.

He was pretty clearly not ready in 2020, but it's hard not to like him now. He's one of the best communicators in democratic politics.

To your third point, this very short Howard Zinn essay is one of my all time favorite pieces for resilient hope.

Yeah, he's obviously not declared, but I think he's continued to take every media and conference appearance he gets offered to keep his face in the public light. There's no tradition of past transportation secretary doing this, lol.

Yeah, I think that's correct. She's in a great spot for house leadership in 26, and would be a jr senator if she even is able to primary Schumer. House oversight chair would be *awesome* for her.

I think it looks great, and I think Buttegieg has come a long way from 2020, but you're going to tell me that his beard is no relation to Noah Wyle's "sexiest man alive" beard?

Bonkers that she won an election as a write-in candidate and insists on still caucusing with the GOP
