One time i was working at alamo and i was having a horrible day, and Kristen Schaal opened a door for me when she didnt have to. she then went into a rowdy screening of magic mike's last dance and provided live commentary.

if my math is right, greater NYC and greater LA account for roughly 8% of the US population.

It's gonna be around a 30 minute trip to get to hollywood from palms via metro. i don't think people realize how big a deal this will be.

people should just talk about stuff. you can protest and talk about movies and cook and go on hikes. Latin America knows best, you need to fight for freedom but you still need to live life.

Sepulveda subway, K line north, Vermont subway, tunnel for Surfliner, subway for San Diego, second transbay tube, light rail for san joaquin valley cities, these seem like the best possible projects for State efforts.

people just don't like DTLA methinks

NYC has the density for most bus routes to operate like a BRT system. Pay to enter the station, wait to get on the bus, get on. you pay to ride the bus in mexico city and it works great. it's about systems and civic infrastructure, not a handout for the poor.
comment in response to post
that's a possibility, but i think the main detriment is car traffic and frequency. you need funding towards bus lanes and operators to make that pencil out. once the infrastructure is built, busses are much more expensive to operate per rider than train systems.
comment in response to post
I genuinely believe that the people who think price is the main detriment to bus ridership don't ride the bus frequently. i could be wrong, but i believe it.
