Anyone else notice the resemblance. Now we know where he got the idea of doing press conference like a TV talk show set in a living room.

The states are just an agent of the federal government? Where does it say that in the Constitution?

I agree 100% but the challenge is to get this message in front of Maga and then to get past their cognitive bias.

190 - 75 would mean 115 did not call. They can't even make stuff up which would make them look good. It's total incompetence.
I agree it was the stocks and bonds crashing at the same time which stopped him. It means we are loosing foreign investor confidence and signals inflationary recession.

She uses all the same adjectives and adverbs as Trump. It's almost like she's trying to be ironic, satirizing the way Trump speaks. If I didn't know better I would say that was a Saturday Night live skit.

I assumed this was a filibuster but only just learned it was a long speech for public relations purposes. It's better than nothing but I say it's time to end unanimous consent and filibuster everything. Force the Republicans make concessions for every bill and resolution. It's time to shut it down

I'm thinking of limiting my exposure to $100 and buy a share or two of one of these inverse ETFs when TSLA ticks up, wait for it to take a dip and then sell, then rinse and repeat. I figure the worst thing that could happen is I would lose $100 and I would do my bit to bring down Elon.

When TSLA goes down these exchange traded funds go up.
TSDD -2x
TSLS -1x
TSLQ -2x
TSLZ -2x
Warning this is a very risky investment. Don't bet what you can't afford to lose.
Consider it gambling with benefits. I am not an advisor and this is not advice. I don't hold any of these ETFs as of now.

Absolutely... On inauguration day TSLA Price to Earnings ratio was 174, as of today it's 137, to compare Amazon is 40, Apple is 35, and of the largest most successful car companies Toyota is 8 General Motors is 6, and VW is 4.5. Tesla still has a long way to fall.

Based on the texts in the Signal Gate debacle, it would appear that Stephen Miller is the Trump interpreter with power to overrule concerns from the VP and without interference from the chief of staff his view of Trump's intentions seemed to hold sway.

And didn't Trump just the other day deny that he had signed the order invoking the alien enemies Act? This is making me wonder just how fast his dementia is progressing. Does he even know what he said and what he's done?

When I heard Trump's reaction to the story of Jeff Goldberg being on the illegal telegram chat of his cabinet members discussing war plans, I immediately thought of VP George H W Bush's reaction to the news of the Iran Contra scandal where he said "I was out of the loop".

More on again off again rinse and repeat policy. I suspect he just reacts to the last thing he heard, It's government by dementia where he's not really sure what he's done and fires off orders to minions who blindly manufacture EOs for the obsession of the moment.

The mask bans being promoted by democrats tend to be bans against wearing masks at protests and are aimed at those protesting events in Gaza. There was a ban like this proposed in the Maryland legislature this year. It makes wearing a mask at a protest a hate crime. The bill in New York is similar.

Every time I hear about opposition to DEIA I remember that it stands for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. Those who oppose those values are supporting Uniformity, Prejudice, Exclusion, and Restriction.

The town dump a 1/2 mile away was burned almost every day. Some times the smoke would blow our way. It all changed after 1972 when the clean air act and clean water act passed. We can thank Nixon for that.

My mother kept a broom on the porch and swept it regularly because soot/dust would collect there. We had a burn barrel in the back yard to destroy the trash.

I rode with my dad in his truck as a kid in the 50S and 60S in Connecticut. Every creek smelled like sewage, my dad would say "roll up the windows we are coming into Naugatuck" because it always smelled like rubber. There was often a dome of pollution over cities like Hartford, or New Haven etc.

Another example of thinking in line with Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon's response to the crash of '29. "Liquidate labor, liquidate stocks, liquidate farmers, liquidate real estate. It will purge the rottenness out of the system. High costs of living and high living will come down....

I would say that Tesla stock definitely still has a long way to fall. Exactly a year ago today Tesla's stock price was $177.

I've seen various estimates for Tesla's price to earnings ratio. They run from 68 to 120. To compare Nvidia's price to earning ratio is 38, Exxon is 12, Toyota is 8 and GM is 6. It means that for every $100 you invest in Tesla it makes $1. And for every $6 you invest in GM it makes $1.
comment in response to

Yup Tesla stock on inauguration day was $488. Today it's $230. That's a drop of 53%. But the PE ratio is still 68 so it still has a long way to fall. Just to compare Nvidia's PE ratio is 37. And Toyotas is 8, GM 6. A PE of 68 means for every $68 you invest they will earn $1.

Elon only controls 13% of Tesla's voting stock. I wonder how long it will be before the board wakes up and demands his resignation?
