Regardless of their intentions—even if they believe they’re doing the right thing—grifters worsen health outcomes. They sell fake cures, pseudoscience, and false hope—and that’s a real problem for anyone needing assistance with mental health or illness.

Science is a process without borders. Medicine isn’t western, eastern, allopathic, alternative, functional, integrative, etc. Those are marketing terms. There are approaches supported by evidence and ones that aren't.

Homeopathy is a $1.2 billion industry in the US alone. It postulates that a remedy becomes more effective when the active ingredient has been diluted out of existence. It’s expensive nothing. All fraud.

“Functional medicine” was invented in the 1990s by Jeffrey Bland to sell dietary supplements and shot to fame by its poster boy, Mark Hyman. It is a marketing term designed to confuse patients, promote pseudoscience, and sow distrust in mainstream medicine. It is a scam.
