My birthday is February 28 ☹️. Been unemployed since late Sep. Is it okay if I buy myself a cupcake?

Needed to hear this today. Today marks 3 months in trying to land a job. I know that’s not a long time for many, but I haven’t gone this long in not working since I was 16. I know your sincerity behind your words and I appreciate it.

We can do better than this.

Same thing. Within 2 minutes of completing the application I got the rejection email. It’s tough to keep spirits up when it’s like this, but know you’re not alone. Keep going. You’ve got this!

Thanks for putting this together. Just found out about this today, so I’ll be patient while I wait to be added. Just like my kid waiting for Christmas morning 😀

Ha! I’d also add Scrooged to the list, but that’s not a family movie 😀

Can’t wait to see how Pilots change some gameplay. Love the art as well. Such a fun game and great to look at.

Cant wait to learn more about it. Always looking for games that can help get family and friends into the fun of games… IMHO 😉

Sounds interesting, especially considering during my child’s bath last night they wanted rise up out of the water like Godzilla 😀

If you watch a good number of them, the only thing that makes them Christmas movies is that the setting of Christmas time is central to the story. Movie makers could just as easily make these for Valentine's Day, Independence Day, or even Arbor Day.

I don't think so. Let's look at many of the Hallmark Christmas movies. While probably romantic at their core, most would agree looking at the title, art, or description, that they automatically are included as Christmas movies.

What about Santa, the North Pole, reindeer, or Christmas magic? Isn't at least one of these needed for a movie to be considered a Christmas movie?

While Lethal Weapon and First Blood are also 80's action movies that take place at Christmas, their stories don't require that setting. Both can take place at any time of year and still keep their story. Some elements might need adjustments, but the central plot points don't need Christmas.

Would this work for a Memorial Day party? Probably not, but I'm not a movie producer or screen writer, so what do I know? I just enjoy movies.

The same is true of Die Hard. The story needs to take place at Christmas. Without that setting the story falls apart. Hans' plan requires Christmas not only for the Christmas party at Nakatomi Plaza, but for the laid back response of the local police.

In order for the setting of Christmas to make something a Christmas movie, I think it should be a key plot point. Examples? Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, and White Christmas. If you remove the Christmas setting of any of these movies, the story falls apart.

Isn’t that mostly what life with a cat is like?
To be clear… NOT calling you, or anyone, a cat lady (or appropriate gender identifier). My experience is cats seem to be on that same wavelength. But what do I know? 🤷♂️

That sucks. Thankfully that’s not the type of Christmas music the rest of the family puts on, so I might be safe for a little bit.

Approaching my 5th decade and I’m still on stage 1. Not sure what that says about me 🤔
