Say what you like about austerity, it's bought the death trap playground back in fashion. Scalding metal slide, rusty climbing frames. Finally my kids are going to get toughened up

Henry Scampi is now grown up enough that if someone comes to the flat to fix or clean something, he'll briefly say hello then just keep out of their way, and this is easier but also I kind of miss the idiot baby who was so curious that he'd try to e.g. get involved in the dishwasher repair process

Sad news that the South London Press has closed. It was a great local newspaper. It also ran one of the greatest local newspaper stories ever*, "Squirrels on crack".
