The political journalist class does love a good meaningless spat.
Meanwhile the world gets hotter and people suffer.
But hey Farage said something about something.
Burn you peasants!

Leopards face eating time has arrived.
Joy is felt

So you can't read then?
I said all we can do is try to slow it down.
Fossil fuels can be replaced in many circumstances.
Take your ill informed doom-mongering and shove it up your arse.

Wrong
A tipping point has been reached but it can be slowed down.
Burning fossil fuels is a major source of the CO2 that causes global warming.
Stop doing that and we slow the rate, which right now is the best we can do.

I guess if you were to conduct a poll looking at involuntary euthanasia for everyone over the age of 60 the results would look quite different.

What could possibly go wrong with this plan.....

I assume the judge didn't just "refuse" to lower the sentence.
I think there has to be some kind of reason in law to do that.

Labour cannot fight Farage on his own turf. They need to make measurable and concrete improvements to people's lives.
Do that and Reform withers and dies.
Fail to do that and who the fuck knows what awaits us.
comment in response to
post
Starmer needs to do what he was elected to do.
Make ordinary people's lives better
If he can do that in a measurable and undeniable way support for reform will evaporate.
Stop fighting the fuckers on their own turf and get on the high ground

We have the ability to produce all the electricity we could ever need from wind, water and solar but still we burn stuff!
Maybe we don't deserve this planet.....

Will they be calling them Jezebel's?
comment in response to
post
Sadly it won't.
They will blame "the establishment" and promise that when they become the government all will be well.
Labour need to stop fighting them on their own turf and do what they were elected to do.
Make people's lives better.

Same here.
But looks like the bigots are in charge now.

I suspect not.

The first, possibly, but definitely not the last.
A brutal time to be a woman, let alone a trans woman, in the USA.

Will Labour learn that they cannot fight reform by trying to be reform?
True Farage cultists will never swing to Labour.
All Labour are doing is alienating voters like me.
There are far more of me than the Farage believers.
comment in response to
post
Then Labour need to start doing what they were elected to do.
Stop trying to beat reform by appealing to their voters and do it by making peoples lives better.
Tax the rich, push net zero, nationalise rail power and water. These are the things most people actually want.

Fascism is fun seems to be the mantra.
The lib Dems and the greens are just boring with all there policies and things.

The way they behave with breathless excitement one could almost think they believe that fascism is fun.

It's very sweet that you think there will be midterm elections....

I suspect we will soon find that he has trousered a massive wodge of dosh from some fossil fuel company.
Tis always the way.
comment in response to

Like all these exploitative companies there will be some serious lobbying going on.
Amazing what politicians will consider doing when trousering the money.

Someone should tell them that you can't fight reform on their own territory.
Make people's lives better and they won't vote reform, apart from the hard core nutters.
Those people will never switch to labour anyway.

Any solution that involves Russia keeping territory that it invaded is not exactly great. There is a solution, Russia goes home and leaves Ukraine to govern itself as a free and independent nation.

My theory for what it is worth is
No mid term elections, some bullshit emergency revocation.
Then a massive push to get legislation changed to allow him a third term.
Then, I agree civil war.
What an absolute shitshow!

It will be a painful time to live through though.
The mega rich will not go quietly. They also seem to have an endless supply of suckers to further their agenda. People hoping to pick up the tiniest crumb from the table.

Sadly the USA don't tend to like that sort of socialist stuff on there doorstep.
History is not on her side.
But yes we really need things like that to be happening.

Here you are doing the ruling classes work for them.
Not picking about who is and who isn't working class allows the rich and powerful to divide us.
Divided we fall!
Focus on what's important.

Poor baby.
It must be terrible to find out that all your hero worship of the orange turdickle leads inexorably to your life being worse.
It was never meant to be him who suffered.

As we all know every Reform voter is just looking for a reason to vote Labour.
So all Labour need to do is keep going and they will definitely get all those juicy votes.
They will lose millions of others mind but they don't seem worried about that for some reason.

So if I object to what Israel are doing to the Palestinian population that automatically means I am denying Israel the right to exist?
Have I got that right?
