How gently will most Americans go into the night over this?

Excellent article. Loved the eerie reference to Hamlet.
Who do you think has what it takes to be the American Ivan the Terrible?

Horrible!
On Twitter, some MAGAs are blaming Democrats because State Rep Hortman and State Sen Hoffman were the only two to vote against their own party by supporting the repeal of free health care for ‘illegal immigrants’.
Fuck, these shameless MAGAs would twist anything to set up narratives.

What is the threshold for the air quality index or PM 2.5 level that you would deem necessary to wear a respirator outside?

Interesting choice of a necklace.

Twice I’ve seen improvements in air quality at hospitals.
Left: Apr 30: Kitchener Grand River Hospital ICU with narrow hallway, low ceiling and still air-505
Right: London LHSC kids hospital floor wait room at 590.
Still frustrating that this is not promoted for others to see.

Amen. This is another sign that we are in the Upside-Down. Strunk & White has been displaced by Stunk & Shite.

I get why people supported MAID based on principles, such as incurable suffering from terminal diseases. However, I never felt good about this due to lack of proper guardrails and the shitty side of human nature.

My Grade 4 teacher at a fundamental Christian school would read a few of that book’s poems to the class every week. That school was damn fundamental so your article points out to the irony here 😎

Good for him. That's a lot of courage to take this step. Bold but necessary. May he avoid Leo Ryan's fate.

In Grade 5, there was this larger guy who kept roughhousing me. I didn't sense malice from him, just thoughtless in pushing his weight around. Went on for weeks until I lost it and gave him a roundhouse punch in the jaw. He looked at me in shock then roughed me up. But he never did so again.

So does that include trying to solve the Elon Musk problem?

So relieved here in Canada. I've had to convince my skeptical family and friends that there are rumblings in the USA. A very long way to go but at least it's starting.

Ford was so stupid to not go ahead and finish ripping up the Starlink contract. If I was one of his campaign advisors, I'd tell him to do it as a 'clincher'. Truthfully, I'm grateful that he left the door open for others to exploit this and weaken his election chances.

Just goes to show how uneven the reporting is in the murky data we have. The PH numbers in various cities (e.g., London on the left; Toronto on the right) generally shows the COVID rates to be 'low' while the FluA rates are jacking up. It's frustrating, eh.

Reckon the proof is in the pudding about this.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but there doesn't seem to be enough sense of urgency and action from the Democratic Party. I'd like to think that there is much more happening behind the scenes.

I still am. The lone masker almost everywhere I go including among friends and family.
3 wks ago, Costco masking rate increased to over 5%. Last week: < 1%.
I wonder if the semi-cautious are relaxing cuz of 'lower' COVID numbers while not considering the spiking FluA numbers (31% in London).

How will the convoy buggers cope with this?
A few guidelines from FDA:
"Pasta may contain an average of 225 insect fragments."
"One maggot is allowed in every 250 milliliters of fruit."
"Up to a kilogram of insect parts is allowed in 100 kilograms of chocolate."

The leading contender for the next Canadian election. If, God forbid, he wins the election, I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to bring back the bitcoin shit.
Not to mention Senator Lummis pushing for bitcoining your US economy.

All of this could have been avoided with foresight and preparation. Reckon Covid wasn't enough a teachable moment for our feckless leaders.
