Self-descriptions are inherently biased, but I'll go with lovable curmudgeon. (Godless liberal for Christ, if you prefer.)

To be fair, Senator Lee IS, after all, a horrible person, which is on brand for Republicans these days.

Telling the audience what they WANT to hear instead of what's true may not make for a reliable news source, but you have to admit it's a solid business model.

Someone should tell Mace that she only has to be one of the genders to use the restroom.

Let's not forget his convictions on 34 felony counts. And the other indictments. And impeachments. (Did I mention E. Jean Carroll?)

Still a man, though. Can't take that away from him. Involuntarily, anyway.

I'm pretty sure they'll pick somebody better at keeping vows, anyway.

Our Rep. Ted Lieu was out shaking hands and mine was one of them. We didn't stay to hear him speak, though. As you can tell from the cane I'm using to keep the sign from flopping, my lower half isn't in great shape... temporarily. Got a good nearby handicapped parking space, though.

"The bar doesn't get much lower."
If sitcoms taught me anything, the bar in "Cheers" required going down a flight from street level to enter. That's a low bar.
But in Hegseth's defense*, maybe he was taking a break from the whole "stop drinking" thing.
*See what I did there?

I guess he picked the wrong geologic era to quit drinking. Or the wrong nonosecond. Whatever.

Sadly, the people that know that also are the ones who predicted it, and too many of the ones that didn't know it before are still hard to convince.

Making deals isn't so much his specialty as blowing them up. The Iran nuclear deal, climate accords, an attempt to kill Obamacare, etc. He doesn't have any replacement in mind, let alone something better.
This is what Musk, DOGE and chainsaw and all, are emulating. Just destroy, don't replace.
