Why do you say this? Corruption in the linguistic sense just means dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery. And bribery is simply the act of persuading someone to act in one’s favor by a gift or money or other inducement. Where is the explicit quid pro quo?

You don’t register by party in Illinois, so this isn’t right. Where is this data from?

The beauty of this is that the sign also works if you erroneously believe there are only two genders. She needs to stfu.

Also, to state the obvious, people buying so many fewer fewer things because of tariffs negatively impacts the economy overall. The recession we’re already in becomes a depression.

Hi - tax lawyer here. This isn’t true. Under the Canada-US tax treaty as long as your permanent home is in Canada you won’t pay tax on the U.S. even after 6 months and if you have a permanent home in both there are a series of tie breaker rules. Article 4.

Canadians commenting where the colours line up is making me laugh. Social policy-wise they all line up to the left of the Democratic party. Economically the conservatives might be a little to the right of the Democrats but even that is up for debate.

Bessent just said what we all know. Not sure his boss approved though, so my guess is it will take a few more weeks for the actual cave

The problem is that the island’s imports mostly show as being from Canada even if they’re not. It’s the same with Lesotho. Not showing any imports from the U.S. because there is in this case a customs union with South Africa and the goods are reported at that level.
