I understand that, but it has not happened yet. Notice my use of the word “yet” in the first post. Accuracy is still important.

This is not at all what the Supreme Court did. Good opinion? Nope, but all it did was make it impossible for a single court to issue a nationwide injunction, with several exceptions (eg class action). A class Action has already been filed. They did NOT rule on the merits….yet.

My husband participated in a CAT- T study a few years back. It was a lot. It didn’t work, and he later underwent stem cell treatment (which WAS successful -*knock on wood*). But this is great progress!

Before 2016, that word made me cringe. It is now my go-to for all these cunts in his administration.

It is. This is a very interesting, quirky little city. It helps keep me sane.

Yes he is. I hate our state politics. My point is that we are not all revisionist assholes. We are fighting. I’m old enough to remember Ann Richards and Molly Ivens.

Sadly, 5 of the 6 had paperwork allowing them to be here. They had active cases and lawyers.

I mean, meetings are boring. All that paper and stuff.

Yeah, what an asshole remark he made.

Well, I appreciate your sentiment but I seem to remember an administration coming in in 1991 having to recover from a pandemic and clean up the shit Trump 1.0 left. They only had 2 years to get a lot done. I agree they could have done more, but I don’t believe the time was “squandered.”

Protests have monitors and counters. Where is MSM getting their number? Because early alt natl reports said 4-5 million, but that was early in the day (eg Boston, NY, Philly, etc numbers)

Way more than 5 million. Please update.

Okay. Thanks. Hard to tell on these platforms sometimes. Also, I’m a cynical old democrat so I’m pretty opinionated!

Was that directed at me? I thought I was politely engaging with you.

Welp, you may be correct. But I’m a 67 year old who has seen some stuff and remembers the 60’s and 70’s. I’m a former defense lawyer. I appreciate I don’t know, for sure. I still “think” it’s a right wing bitter. If I’m wrong, I’ll apologize.

I have been saying for months we were headed down a Kent State path. Unless Republicans grow some balls and publicly make statements, nothing changes. I suspect they will try to back channel moderation, but that does nothing. The people need to hear them speak out.

It was a Dem senator and a Dem Rep shot. And their spouses. 1 from each branch of the legislature. Both prominent Dem leaders. Officials have already said it was politically motivated. So where am I wrong exactly?

Where are you seeing this? I have been looking. I’m sure it’s true, but curious.

It’s an evenly split legislature. Coincidence that one Democrat from each chamber was targeted? Perhaps, but not likely. They did it to flip the balance.

I am proud to say that Houston’s police officers have been great during all of our protests. In my small Texas town (Galveston), our protests have had police presence for OUR protection. Some officers get it. (Not saying HPD is perfect by any stretch, but they support 1A rights).

We can welcome her to protest without having to forget. She got the same news as I did. She went through Trump 1. But I’d still welcome her to the protest.
