More pulpy, Goosebumps art for We Need to Talk! This one’s called Bad Blood.🩸🙀 It’s about the old resentments we pretend don’t exist—until they derail the next project. The book shows you how to surface tension and reset without making it worse.

We all struggle with different parts of tough conversations. I used to freeze up before they even started. And it was dang near impossible to stop my stomach from tying itself in knots. What’s the hardest part for you?

Most people go into hard conversations worrying about what to say. Not enough of them know that emotions outstrip words by a mile. If someone feels threatened, called out, or attacked, the best logic in the world won’t change their mind. Their brain is already in defense mode.

You don’t need the perfect words. You need psychological safety. Most people go into hard conversations worrying about what to say. The truth? How you make the other person feel matters way more than what you say.

Time for more spooky We Need to Talk artwork! This one's inspired by a chapter on working with people who treat every new idea like a threat—and wind up digging their own grave just to avoid changing. This chapter shows you how to move things forward, even when they’re stuck in the past.

Hey, check out my book! It’s on how to have hard conversations. It’ll help you tackle lots of tricky situations without trying to come across as some silly puppet master. Link in bio! #weneedtotalk

More pulpy, Goosebumps art for We Need to Talk! This one’s called 28 Messages Later. It's inspired by a chapter about the dangers of communicating solely by text.

i have played #thelastofus so many times. i know exactly what happens. and yet, it gets me every. single. time. the show is no different. my god what exquisite storytelling.

i am having (too?) much fun doing silly things to promote #WeNeedToTalk, which is out today via @rosenfeldmedia.com! 🥳

Today’s the day! We Need to Talk is officially out in the world. You can get it from wherever books are sold. Get your copy today: rosenfeldmedia.com/books/we-nee... This started as a personal mission. I was someone who struggled with tough conversations—overthinking, avoiding, unraveling.

Want to get a better sense of what's in the book? You can read the first chapter for free at the link below. It’s split into two main sections: the foundation and the situational guide. More info in thread:

Time for more spooky We Need to Talk art! This one's called Circle Back... To Your Doom! This chapter’s about microaggressions, ignored boundaries, and the slow drip of disrespect that makes work feel cursed. My book gives you language (and backup) to call it out. rosenfeldmedia.com/books/we-nee...

I wrote #WeNeedToTalk because I was tired of feeling unprepared for hard conversations, and weary from the (unnecessary) toll they took. Turns out, a lot of people felt the same way. Here’s what early readers are saying:

Yet more pulpy, Goosebumps art for We Need to Talk! This one’s called Dawn of the Dread. You know the feeling—that creeping anxiety before a hard conversation. This book's all about managing fear so it doesn’t manage you.

Don’t remember where I saw this library flyer a while back but it’s great

Weird thing I learned when writing #WeNeedToTalk: your brain doesn’t know the difference between a tense meeting and real, physical threats. That terse email and awkward feedback session invokes your amygdala—the part of your brain that detects danger—which treats them all life-or-death situations.

More pulpy, Goosebumps art for We Need to Talk! This one’s inspired by a chapter on conflict on remote teams—where a bad Zoom call can haunt you for days,. Because nothing says horror like a teammate going dark mid-discussion only to resurface with, “Per my last email.”

Most people think of tough conversations as unpredictable. You go in hoping for the best, but once emotions spike, all bets are off. After extensive study, I found commonalities between (nearly) all tough conversations. And because I am the nerd that I am, I came up with a framework:

I read a lot of Goosebumps as a kid, and wanted to have fun creating a series of pulp-y, horror-inspired art for We Need to Talk, my new book on navigating conflict without losing your mind. Because tough conversations *do* feel like a horror story sometimes, y'know?
