Statement on the Tragic Incident at Dunholme Road Yesterday.

For many North Ascot residents pavement parking is a barrier that stops them from accessing their community. After years of Conservative cuts, our neighborhood police need proper support so they can tackle this issue, in North Ascot and beyond.

I'm proud to have signed @cajardinemp.bsky.social's EDM on Political parties at Pride. It's vital that, now more than ever, our parties reaffirm their commitment to LGBTQ+ rights and that the public can see that commitment through political parties participating in Pride marches.

Hi Maidenhead, here's a recap of what I got up to last week!

Do you travel by train or bus? The @libdems.org.uk want to stop the Headphone Dodgers & save your commute!

We can't afford another decade of uncertainty on the future of British Steel. That's why I urged the Government to take decisive action not only for the people of Scunthorpe, but on behalf of this country. This country *needs* sustainable, green, and British steel.

Before recess, I asked the Government why it was taking money out of the pockets of care providers such as Alexander Devine and Thames Hospices? Predictably I didn't get a straight answer.

Hi everyone, here's what I got up to last week as your MP!

It has been heartbreaking hearing from Murdered Abroad about the challenges and injustices that so many families are facing. That's why last week, I asked the Government what it's doing to support these families. The answer, sadly, is not enough.

Yesterday I joined my Lib Dem colleagues in writing to Wes Streeting urging him to listen to our community pharmacies and confirm that Pharmacy First will be renewed this April. We can't afford to lose our community pharmacies.

Hey Maidenhead, here's a recap of what I got up to last week!

Hey Maidenhead, here's a snapshot of what I got up to last week as your MP!

Today is International Women’s Day, a time to celebrate women's stories and achievements. We honour their impact and recognise the work still needed to achieve equality. Together, may we uplift, empower, and create a world where every woman thrives.

By suspending all military aid to Ukraine, Donald Trump has humiliated the people who pretended he was a reliable ally only in search of peace. The UK and Europe must seize frozen Russian assets to resist Putin’s unjust and savage war.

Here is a snapshot of what my team and I got up to last week!

Yesterday I went to Visit England's drop-in session to discuss the new Berkshire local visitor economy partnership. When I was Vice-Chair of Visit Windsor I pushed for the creation of the LVEP and I'm incredibly excited to see how it can boost our areas' tourism.

It was great to meet with GWR this afternoon, ensuring that Residents have access to the best rail facilities and service possible is one of my top priorities. Here's what we discussed: a🧵

Yesterday I joined Nicky Campbell to answer listeners' questions on the past week's biggest news stories. Inevitably Donald Trump's comments on Ukraine came up... Listen to this clip to hear my thoughts 🔊 youtube.com/shorts/vck-6...

Last week I visited Boot's Maidenhead to discuss the challenges facing our community pharmacies. The work that Boot's and many other pharmacies do to keep our community *alive* is phenomenal, but many are facing crisis. That's why I started the petition below to help them👇

Hi everyone, here's what my time and I got up to last week!

🚨BREAKING: My team have uncovered shocking new data - a record 20 million people waited 4 weeks or more to see their GP last year. That's just wrong.

Surely this is the last nail in the coffin for Thames Water! Data today compiled by the @financialtimes.com showing Thames Water’s sewage plants in Maidenhead deemed “inadequate” - according to their own data.

I’m calling for a Youth Mobility Scheme with Europe—just like we have with Australia and Canada—to let 18-30-year-olds live, work, and gain experience across the EU. Read my piece in Sussex Bylines 👇

The Government urgently needs to get to the bottom of this and put things right for carers. At the very least, surely Ministers need to step in immediately and stop any demands for repayments or threats of prosecution until the independent review has finished.

This #NationalHIVTestingWeek I want to share a reminder that anyone over the age of 16 can order an at-home HIV Test through freetesting.hiv. We have the opportunity to eradicate HIV in this country this decade - let's not waste it.

Yesterday I was able to meet two young South Korean Parliamentarians. It was a great opportunity to discuss the unique challenges as well as the opportunities of being a younger MP, before comparing our two political systems.

Hi Maidenhead, here's a selection of what I got up to last week!

Hi everyone, here's a quick summary of what I got up to last week!

🚨 SEWAGE SCANDAL 💩 Already this January Binfield residents have been the victims of another 112 hours of Sewage discharge from Thames Water! This shocking environmental crime is an insult to residents, consumers, and our wildlife. When will the Government take action and stop this vandalism?

I have joined several of my @libdems.org.uk colleagues in writing to the Transport Secretary to voice our concern about the proposed expansion of Heathrow. The environmental costs of a third runway put both our planet and our community at risk. Labour could see this in opposition, why not now?

"As we commemorate 80 years since Britain and her allies defeated the Nazis and ended the Holocaust, we must never forget those atrocities. "We must remember so that we try harder to stop it happening again - as it has so tragically in Cambodia, Rwanda, and elsewhere." @eddavey.libdems.org.uk

Hey Maidenhead, here's a snapshot of what I have been up to this last week

It was great to join David, Will, and the @myworkspotuk team today to open their second co-working space in the heart of town. It's always a pleasure to support a local business, and MyWorkSpot are a fantastic example of the entrepreneurial spirit that makes Maidenhead special.

Earlier today, I asked what the Government is doing to support Maidenhead residents who, after purchasing flats with 99-year leases, are now facing charges of ÂŁ15-25,000 to extend their leases when selling, so potential buyers can qualify for a mortgage.

Hey Maidenhead, here's a snapshot of my last week

It was wonderful to join the Maidenhead Tamil community at Holyport Memorial today for the Pongal celebrations. Pongal is a traditional Tamil harvest festival, marking gratitude to the Sun and nature for a bountiful harvest. It is celebrated with rituals, special dishes, and cultural events.

Let’s not kid ourselves. Donald Trump is a threat to peace and prosperity around the world. The UK will not be able to depend on the US to be a reliable partner on security, defence or the economy. How do we deal with Donald Trump? We need to do it from a position of strength.

❗ TODAY ❗ I'm proud to present my 🇪🇺 Youth Mobility Scheme Bill 🇬🇧 – a vital step to give young Brits the chance to live, work, and study across Europe. The botched Brexit deal robbed them of these opportunities. It's time to fix that and reset our relationship with the EU.

Yesterday I asked the Health Secretary if he will help the people of Maidenhead get their walk-in centre back open. During the campaign, I made a promise that as your MP I would do everything I could to re-open our urgent care facility, and I'm not giving up.

Here's a (belated) recap of the highlights from my first week back after the winter recess

After asking the #Government to confirm all Service family accommodation meets the minimum standards of social housing as set out in the Decent Homes Standard (DHS), I asked them to #amend the Renter's Rights Bill to officially extend the DHS to #MOD Service Family Accommodation.

Last week, I asked the Leader of the House to schedule a debate on the injustices faced by Park Home Owners, such as their limited rights over the sale and usage of their property, as well as the lack of support many receive from their local authorities.

Hey Maidenhead, here are the highlights from my first week back after the winter recess

Yesterday I sent an urgent letter to Highways England following their holding objection on the proposed Maidenhead Golf course development. Like many other Maidenhead residents I am worried about the extra pressure this development would have on our infrastructure.
