I'm now in the US, having got stranded in Vienna last Friday (ostensibly) en route to Israel.
My husband and daughter are still in Israel and I'm extremely worried about them and everyone else in Israel and Iran trapped by this latest iteration of a brutal Middle East war.

No one should be bombed while seeking treatment at a hospital, and no one deserves to live with the fear that they’ll be turned into “collateral damage.” (2/3)

I absolutely do. Yet another horrific war on top of a horrific war. So cruel and stupid.

I don't know, but if people knew how it is made - "by removing, simmering and clarifying the fatty tissue that surrounds the organs of ruminant animals," maybe they'd be less enthusiastic.
It's also known as “beef drippings.”

But you're giving me a much-needed laugh.

"Dripping" is something I associate with children in Enid Blyton stories, along with "lashing of ginger beer" and "potted meat," whatever the heck that is.

My son used to ask me why, if the Ten Commandments include, "honor your mother and father," why there is no rule to "honor your child." And I think he is right. We should honor children, too.

"The Iranians I speak with, including ardent opponents of the regime, are now scared for their lives as they hearing Defense Minister Israel Katz pledge to "burn Tehran." They cannot think of revolution; only survival," writes @arashtehran.bsky.social

Thank you so much, I have lovely friends in Vienna who are hosting me. I had planned to fly home from Vienna so caught the train from Prague at 4.39 a.m., discovered on the way to Vienna all flights canceled. It could be worse.

Yep. Am now stuck in Vienna - lovely place but would rather be home with my family.
