Interedict of 1606 be like:

I think this is the *big* difference between the "teen tribes" now. 20 years ago, to be into stuff you had to spend your limited money on it. Now you can be into it online for almost free, which means less commitment.

I'd say even in the 00s when a lot of this stuff was getting squeezed, music was the biggest identity signaller as a teen. Suspect the people who know this best on here are parents of teens, tbh...

Last night in Kyiv. A rescuer who was working on the drone strike site was killed by russia

Feel I'm going to get a lot of use out of this image of HMK firing a gun.

"Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in"

@generalboles.bsky.social - pls put Zia's face on this, thx

Ok I think he takes this beyond vulgar and out the other side. Reluctantly stan.

The trick for telling whether a Trump picture is fully AI or not, nicely demonstrated here, is in photos you can spot the way his hair is very long at the back and swept forward over a bald head, whereas on AI it looks normal.

Think there are two real challenges for right wing (lack of) thinking on this. The first is thst fixing this stuff will require a lot of front loaded costs. The second is that if you do solve it, the political pressure will be for "Do more stuff" rather than lower taxes.

So I just learned that if you Google "I'm a small baby deer, where is mother?" the AI will reassure you and treat you as in character.

My father was born in 1944, in Yorkshire. If I bought him anything for "Fathers Day" he'd look at me like my brain had fallen out.

Ok this goes to my pet theory that you get a measure of a man by whether, if pushed, he'd elect to be at D-Day or The Somme.

Oh fuck I feel I'm the designated person to go into bat for "THIS IS AN OUTRAGE"

Query on this - would a wealth management company pushing a fake case study as self-promotion be a regulatory matter for them?

And again, you could just say "That's a matter for the Rules and the Party Board, not the leader."

Half my TL absolutely bodied by this.

One of the most rapid U-turns I've done was going to a No2ID event as a student and realising (I) these guys are cranks and (II) the stuff they are saying about joined up government services sounds good, not scary.

So, stay with me here, but this post made me think of Jim Davidson - and it turns out he has a YouTube channel where his video talking about Doctor Who going woke has got 50k views in two days.

You can make the case that the most likely outcome for the next election is that starmer stumbles on his own dick again and wins most mps somehow. Just a guy with maxed out Luck stats
