CAT-Q is great for capturing the cognitive effort we go to in covering Autistic traits. Captures other masking too though so not diagnostic but it can support evidence of ASD when RAADS or AQ may be artificially low because of what you describe.

I wish this could've been longer, and hopefully someday there will be an expanded version, because Ron Whyte was a fucking FASCINATING guy who deserves a full retrospective on his life

1/ Why has this happened?
Before we get into the details, we're finding this out because they've sent their pre-action correspondence in response to the @goodlawproject.bsky.social's judicial review over their interim update

2/ In their initial response, they've admitted:
In their 'interim update', they state it is compulsory for orgs to provide sufficient single-sex toilets
In their pre-action letter to the judicial review, they state this was supposed to only apply “where separate facilities are lawfully provided"

3/ What does this mean?
In short, the @goodlawproject.bsky.social says it means, they are conceding the law means it isn't compulsory.
Instead, if the service is labelled as single-sex, it should be by their 'biological' definition of 'men' and 'women'

4/ What else did we learn?
Last week in Parliament, the chair of the EHRC said Article 8 of the human rights convention - the right to privacy didn't apply to Trans+ people.
One day later, Strasbourg judges said it did 👇

6/ Analysis: Was it guidance?
We've been very careful in our reporting to say it is not.
And now it seems, so are the EHRC. They said in their letter its 'update' was just:
“some observations – brief and high level”

"As we have been saying for some time - any employer who relies on the EHRC's guidance places itself at considerable risk of being sued. Even its own lawyers now concede it is wrong."

What we must understand is that the US has not made meaningful sanitation public health investments since the 70s.
And covid has set the tone for how fed and state governments will handle public health crises.
We cannot count on them to fix this.

A lot of people got a glimpse of the drinking water crisis raging across the US when "Little Miss Flint" made headlines.
Her name is Mari Copeny and she is still fighting for sanitation rights, having now founded a company that produces affordable water filters.

The bottled water and sodas you buy are made with *someone else's tap water*, except packaged and shipped to you.
Bottling companies often purchase cheap locations to pump out water, often in communities that are drought prone and in desperate need.
