So what she meant to say was, "The DOGE cuts made clear that your definition of 'woke' is different. 'Woke' to you is just normal government programs meant to lift up the general population and help provide stable societal structures for people who aren't billionaires." It just came out wrong.

Some even practiced being yelled at and beat to be ready.

That stood out to me too... As if a single mom with an 8 yr old doesn't need as much or more help than a married couple with an 8 yr old. Or a person in an abusive marriage won't be forced to think about how they might not be able to feed their kids over 7.

Technically correct, but just barely. The questions asked in polling matter, and what I hear from young, new voters on up is that most aren't totally happy about all the methods (some love it), but they believed the invasion bs, and the results are worth it to them. They wanted this.

You're both right. They're free to act w/ impunity b/c racism let's them say anything about us and be believed, and they want to provoke us. A white mayor on camera isn't as useful, and also they're racist so they find this extra fun. It ticks multiple boxes.

Parades were the worst!

Oh, agreeeed. We really, really could just not, but the horrors abound and persist, and I refuse not to at least indulge in some gallows humor from time to time. It helps fuel the fight some days. Signed, A black woman πŸ˜‰

If you don't want the Oregon Trail, apparently you can try the Gilded Age instead. At least they're giving us options πŸ˜‚

Makes sense from a person involved in a platform created to rate hotness. A fundamental lack of understanding of meaningful relationships seems pervasive for this guy.

πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ S O R C E R Y!!! So many of these "fresh, single ingredient" people don't grow their own food, but even a lot of people who do have no idea how far we've come. Most aren't saving seeds and bulbs. They still have a food system they can fall back on when a crop fails or they're busy. Sigh...

Also, will all of our new factory workers be paid well enough to buy enough land and have enough of a work life balance to grow or even buy safe, fresh food, cook from scratch, can, etc.? Or do we assume they are all married and have physically able spouses who can and want to do all of this??

The # of people who can really do this all the time are very few, and they do little else. IG influencers with pretty gardens in great zones (with access to Amazon and whole foods) can sell the idea that no, really, an off the grid mini farm can really work, I promise 🫠... But that's not real life.

They refuse to recognize so many things... like people live in a variety of climates. I live in a pretty rural area, and even the most dedicated & experienced small farmers use grocery stores because well, winter, jobs, pests, storms, kids, pasta, etc...

Not a big deal but is someone out there advising everyone to grow beards now?
comment in response to post
Yup. And that's πŸ—‘οΈ according to many Christians who say that same book says tell about Jesus, but don't whine when you're rejected- instead become more giving, humble, joyful, kind, etc. without expecting wealth, safety, or admiration in return... No excuses, no exceptions, ×♾️ until you die.

Sure, plenty just use the religious rhetoric because it's expedient for any number of things rather than being true believers, but there are a lot of true believers too. And what they believe is twisted (it's like the opposite of basic Bible teaching on generosity, mercy, etc.).

Yup. In their minds, they are the true heirs/citizens of the nation (and of heaven, which they must usher in, obvi). This means all things have always belonged to them, so it's right for them to take $, power, status, etc. from evil/lesser/unchosen ones in order to usher in their idea of heaven. 🫠

Too bad more people outside MAGA didn't come together and heed actual generals and commanders - Kelly, Mattis, & Milley - all warning of his fascistic tendencies... Because too many of Trump's supporters actually do admire and want to imitate fascists.

Same here. And doing the same with Amazon. It's easier and cheaper to do without the excess anyway most of the time.

Went there sometimes multiple times per week because drive up was super convenient after school (and I'm bad at planning). They haven't gotten 1 cent from me in 2025... 4 months in and new habits are so firmly established that it feels out of the way now. Bye target.

Been said before, but it's gotta be rough being a satirist these days. Seems like all the good material is taken. SheeshπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

From your lips to God's ears. More likely tho - they got lots of verifiable outcry from the base. They know it's safe to oppose. If they stick with him on the rest of the stuff, they will get a pass (& a boost?). It may also give Trump a politically expedient out, so his team is signaling it's ok.

Right. Ruthless, not dumb. Her job is to lie constantly without blinking or stuttering, and she's good at it.

It's not to say that making threats or doxxing is ok (that's a different issue than lots of people loudly disagreeing online), but that's not their argument, and they don't seem to have an issue doing that themselves. 🫠

But the world isn't their personal playground. We can speak up and choose not to patronize their business, which isn't the same as govt censorship or having rights revoked. They can think aloud in public (if they don't need coddling) and still be billionaires, free to do whatever.

They're trying to justify their cowardice and inability to successfully argue their ideas... in large part because their ideas are basically that the world should be engineered to revolve around them. You can tell because all of their other stated values (free speech, etc.) are expendable.
