Albo really is spineless, isn’t he? Him, Penny and Richard Marles should hang their heads in shame at what they’re possibly dragging Australia into. #NoWar #CancelAUKUS

No more blood for empire. No war on Iran. Freedom for Gaza.

I microwaved my frozen bread for too long to defrost it and now the edges are dry and crispy. #MinorProblems

Tooth/gum pain is not what needed in my life right now, but here we are. Hopefully I can get it under control without requiring a trip to the dentist.

America is nothing without war. They’ve always been trigger happy. Leaders of the world need to stand up to this bully nation and stop thinking that WMD 2.0 is a thing.

Damn you, cold, hard garage floor! You’ve made my sore foot very disagreeable this evening!

I started doing crafts in the garage, but the clutter got so overwhelming that I downed tools and opened all of the doors in an attempt to get rid of some stuff. So far, I’ve collated 3 crates into one, but that barely made a dint.

I’ve spent the first part of the day doing invoices & other administrative stuff, but since I can’t conjure money from thin air, it’s time to log off and either go outside, or do some crafting. Is gardening considered outdoor crafts?

Still looking for the perfect rock cake recipe. The batch I just made, from the CWA cookbook, are a good texture, but need more spice. Or maybe my spices are too old & devoid of flavour. (A bit like me, really.)

I bought one of those pricey heritage tomatoes from Coles the other week. It didn’t get used & was beginning to look sad, so I cut it up for a grilled cheese sandwich. The seeds had started to sprout, so it’s a grilled tomato & cheese with salad. 😊

Hey #wordsky folks. Is there a word to describe the phenomenon of oil and water repelling from each other? Or a better description than repel?

I don't want to see AI generated brutalist structures on Pinterest. I want to see you build these gravity defying structures, with all of that heavy concrete and steel that you imagine will be self-supporting.

My washing machine bounced around so much this morning, that apparently the draining hose popped off. I didn't find this out until my daughter fed the cat in the laundry & discovered that the floor was all wet. 🙄

My daughter is looking at hoodies online and her question echoes my thoughts. Why do Aussie clothing retailers insist on emblazoning USA college names all over our clothes? Or surf brands that champion California over Torquay or Kirra? And don’t get me started on Disney branding.🤬

It's the year 2025 and we still don't have top loading washing machines that remain balanced when spinning the bed sheets. My old machine from 20+ years ago did a much better job than this new one!

I accidently deleted the phone & messages app off my phone, and couldn't workout how to restore them to the home screen. The apps were on my phone, just not visible. My daughter says with a roll of her eyes, "Here, I'll do it." I shoo'ed her away & found a video that explained it & resolved it. Win!

I rarely watch FTA TV, but was intrigued about the story on 60 minutes about forced adoption in Australia in the 60's & 70's.What the women in the story went through & continue to endure, is abhorrent. But could we stop with the emotive, breathy music playing over the emotive scenes? Ugh!

Oof! That last sentence in the article is a gut punch.

Economics 101 for the slow witted and other RWNJ and closet racists…

The worst part about living in a green wedge, is the weekly drone of chainsaws as another tree comes down. A massive eucalypt in my neighbour’s front garden had died, so it had to go. Thankfully, there’s still big trees in the street for the birds, bees & critters to enjoy.

I’d slowed cooked a huge beef casserole for expected guests on the weekend. They bailed at the last minute. Their loss is my gain as I’m currently enjoying a steaming hot bowl. I’ve also frozen a serving for solo trips to the cabin.

I madly shopped, packed and prepared meals today, in the hope that we'd be on the road to the high country about now. But The Bloke has to finish a job, meaning we can't leave until tomorrow. That's messed up my whole weekend.😩

With a third shooter off to the side, so there are no winners left to walk away. 😼
