I think they feel that their games are popular enough that they'll sell no matter what (it's happened with the more recent Pokemon titles)

We've had $60 for decades. For part of that time, we could avoid the $60 price by buying second hand or renting from Blockbuster
Nowadays, we can't avoid the box price, especially w/ Nintendo games since they never go on sale

I'm in the "disliking Switch 2" camp but not for the console price itself, so can't comment on that.
For me, I dislike the game prices, specifically that Nintendo are the first ones to enter the $80 AAA game price range, and how quickly they chose to do so, even though $70 was introduced in 2020.

Ive noticed in a lot of the astronomically fat blob art you've posted, the blob takes up the entire frame. Maybe have one of those but the blob is spilling out/over the frame-? Just the idea that popped into my head lol
