My ex-wife almost died from a burst ectopic pregnancy. I was at work and took me 1/2 hr or so to get there. She was in shock from blood loss, yelled at nurses, immediate surgery, she lost 3+ pints of blood while laying in a room unattended.

That is the flaw in the constitution. It relies on the “goodness” of those charged with its implementation.

Yeah because the Christian thing to do is let them die so the overlords can maintain their lavish lifestyle.

Little Donnie wants to be popular. If the people he relies on to make him popular disagree with him then he just simply changes to their side so he can be popular again. That’s it! There is nothing else there….(the grift plays off the popularity)

If Senator Mike Lee was even 1/10th if the man he believes himself to be he would resign in shame immediately and dedicate the rest of his life to the betterment of others.

Back during the heyday of Guns & Roses and the Tipper Gore crusade against music lyrics, I seem to recall an MTV(?) interviewer questioning Axl about the effects of lyrics. His response was to point to the Bible as the words most responsible for death and destruction that were ever written

Exactly this. I have always been suspect of folks who believe in American exceptionalism but have never experienced life anywhere else. Being born at a particular location on a rock hurtling thru the cosmos doesn’t make me exceptional at all.

Oh, so a party official. Now where have I heard that before?

Merkel might have pushed that diplomatic immunity thing to its ultimate test if the idiot had said that shit to her.

So, if what he is saying is true: Employers will be required to provide health insurance coverage to all of their employees. Yeah right🤦‍♂️

Several months ago I read an article making this very point. Drones are the scariest potential weapons system in the world. Virtually undetectable and we have all seen how well they can be programmed/coordinated in their movements (light shows). No “Golden Dome” will protect us from them.

Too many voters base their vote on whatever gets the most traction and thus repeated over and over from Labor Day until the election…. “It’s the new trend”. The other 46 months are spent in oblivion or forgotten.

Now to prove to the world why… plant some disinformation with the US concerning another planned attacked and see what the Russians do.

The GOP members of Congress have lost control of the Frankenstein’s monster (MAGA) they created and are too afraid to stop its destruction lest they be next, country be damned.

In a nod to Carly Simon…. He’s so vain, he thinks his Presidency is about him.

I buy my groceries at a border town in Maine. Used to see lots of our Canadian neighbors in town. Haven’t seen one in weeks.

Yes but that small town in the middle of nowhere is likely to be mostly trump voters

Checking in from Maine. My closest hospital closed their birthing unit recently. Several others are closing entirely or shifting non emergency care to larger hospital systems which are themselves already struggling financially due increased costs and decreased or slow Medicare reimbursements.

Might as well sell naming rights to the South Lawn, Rose Garden, etc….Isn’t it already the Elon Musk Oval Office?

I know an associate professor of engineering at a prestigious US school. They do research and development for both the gov. and private sector. They have been awarded patents for their work.

The current US administration is treating our international trade agreements with the same amount of respect that was given to the treaties signed with the Native Americans….NONE

The same as those lying on their deathbeds ruing not getting the COVID-19 vaccine

I watched the documentary called “American Factory” (?) about a Chinese company that reopened a closed facility to assemble TVs. The US workers could not achieve the required output quota

There would have to be a seismic shift in American politics within the next 12 months. Absent that I don’t expect many countries to send athletes. The World Cup would be relatively easy to relocate. The Olympics… probably too late now.

I went to a trade show around 2012 at a machine tool company. They had a machine they called “the weekender”. Load 20 metal blanks into the carousel, call up the program(s) and push start. On Monday morning all machining operations on all parts were completed. Able to monitor operations via laptop.

I suspect that in Maine’s 2nd district ( trump won here in 2024) an above average percentage of people rely on this system as we are severely economically depressed.

Back in late 80’s or early 90’s saw an Interview of Axl Rose. Question on danger of musical lyrics to teens. His response was basically that the Bible was responsible for the greatest amount of human pain and suffering in the world

Well they’re only the two countries that manufacture the equipment needed to outfit a new manufacturing facility so that should be fun.
